On my first visit to my storage the some of the isles/driveway were being repaved with asphalt. I was told “none of this will affect you, or access to your storage”. Sadly it did, piles of asphalt were every where in the main driveway - I had to drive over small piles that were unavoidable, nasty asphalt on my car tires and the under carriage. Called district manager to complain the I was unable to SAFELY assess to my storage during contract hours. He offered me $10.00 off my next bills - LOL telling me the asphalt guys made a mistake dropping asphalt in the main driveway!! I wish I rented somewhere else. What makes up for it is the site manager - Tamara, she is great !!!

I was very please to have a unit here at CubeSmart. I specially want to put in good word for Tamra, who found my key and kept it safe. When I went to the office in Glenview location, she kept it and held it which saved me a lot of money. Thank you Tamra.

The staff are pretty helpful at this location, but I've noticed the company as a whole is not great. I rented out the unit under a discounted rate since I booked a minimum of 4 months, but right after those months, my rate increased without notice. I would have appreciated some transparency related to the rate increase before agreeing to rent the unit. Also, after 6 months of storage, I began unpacking and noticed our wooden children's table had been nawed on in several locations by mice along with traces of poop. I guess I should have expected this but wish the unit's insurance would at least cover the damage. The deductible was too high to cover the item. Overall, I would maybe rent again but only for a very short-term period.

Rented space starting on the 14th of the month but was charged from the first of the month. They let you reserve space 15days in advance which I thought meant rent started on the 14th. But no it starts on the date of signing contract. Watch out!!!
