Worst service ever! They never answer the phone. How can someone schedule an appointment while they don’t pick the phone! I’ve been calling for days and leaving a voicemail but no answer! And this is not the first time, i face this issue whenever I call them for an appointment.

Our family has consistently received excellent dental care from Dr. Shin, Dr. Lee, and the DentiStar team, and my recent appointment with Dr. Park was impressive. He's very considerate and skilled, and I'm truly satisfied with the results and quality of care.

Dr. Sam Shin is a fantastic dental provider who is thorough in both explanation and care. His colleague Dr. Thomas Lee, however, is not. In short, Dr. Lee is professionally irresponsible, personally immature, and lacks basic communication skills, all of which take away from any shred of medical authority he might have left. The details are as follows:My mother, a patient of Dr. Lee starting in 2021 is too kind to report this incident of professional and personal misbehavior, but her experiences need to be made known to warn both the practice and the public. On September 4, 2021 my mother came into the office for a routine cleaning. During the visit, Dr. Lee filed down her right canine for an reason he did not state or explain. Dr. Lee did so 1. without announcing his intention to do so and 2. without asking for my mother's consent, both of which are blatant violations of informed consent, fall under the legal definition of gross negligence, and are at the very least extremely unprofessional. Because Dr. Lee had already begun, my mother could not stop him because he had already started to file down her tooth.However, the unprofessional behavior does not stop there. At a second visit on May 25, 2023, my mother brought up that she was unhappy with how the filing had changed her smile, which is a clear part of DentiStar's service vision. Of note, my mother stated that she did not consent to the filing but did not request any compensation or express any anger. In response, Dr. Lee began to scold her quite loudly as to be heard by the rest of the practice, stating that “she did not appreciate his work” and that she did not realize that he made her smile look better, clear examples of the fact that Dr. Lee is only interested in his opinion and not only ignores the opinions and preferences of his clientele but actively shames them for disagreeing with him. My mother, alarmed by his sudden outburst, stated that she would agree to disagree and wished to drop the subject. Dr. Lee, however, became increasingly upset that she did not agree with him and began to roughly push a mirror into her hands, demanding that she look to "see what a good job [he] had done." After my mother asked Dr. Lee an additional three times to calm down, he set the mirror aside, but for the rest of the visit, he insisted that he was "right," as if his opinion about an uninformed, cosmetic, medically unnecessary procedure was more important than the patient's opinion. My mother has not been back to the practice since, and our family has taken our dental care elsewhere.If DentiStar truly believes in its mission to work collaboratively with patients to achieve their goals (NOT the personal agenda of the provider), it needs to ensure that this sort of treatment never happens again to any patient who receives Dr. Lee’s care or, arguably, lack thereof. We will not be returning.

This is a place that never answers the phone. Maybe if you call more than 10 times in a row, they might answer. But don't get your hopes up. They often say that if you have a problem with your teeth, they recommend extracting the tooth and getting an implant. I received treatment twice for a tooth like a crown that fell out, but after 3 weeks, the tooth fell out again. I wanted to talk to them, but they didn't answer the phone either. This is truly the worst service.

My husband had a dental treatments at this place but his teeth condition is totally worse than before. He keeps having a pain for over 6 months now. Also, he has a serious biting problem since he had treatments at this place. We went to couple other dentist doctors to restore my husband's teeth, but they said it's very complicate and will take time and need high cost because it will be the care of Prosthodontists who specialize in treating complex cases. My husband is now having a severe stresses and so he is taking depression & pain medicines almost everyday. We are so very upset. Also, the receptionist is terrible. She never take our calls or return call for our serious messages. I do not recommend this Dentistar dental place at all.

great place great staff good environment reception takes a little long but then again they have so many patients all the times with just a few staff. been going here for a long time and dr.shim is a great orthodontist. 10/10

Greatest experience I ever had to a dentist or orthodontist office. Dr Cristina is amazing and my results are beautiful … finally I am able to fully smile. Highly recommended….

I never add reviews but i’ve been upset with the receptionist staff. every time i try to reach out to them, it has been a hassle. I’ve called the place more than 5 times a day and always get delivered to voice mail. I’ve left voicemails and i never recieve calls back. i start to feel that the receptionist choose not to answers my calls.

I took my two girls for check-up and cleaning. The dentist was very unfriendly and rude. He cut me short whenever I asked him questions. Even my daughters were like ' mommy, he is so mean and doesn't seem to be happy to be a dentist'. For one of my daughter, he gave me a choice of extracting baby tooth out or just wait it out but he didn't give me any explanation what are the pros and cons. So when I asked him, he just shut me up. Like another reviewer commented I am not sure if he even cleaned my girls teeth. It literally took him about 10 mins for both girls!!! I am never going back.
