This is the dojo to bring your family if you are searching for best martial arts experience. Not only is like a big family setting it also has THE BEST instructors.Sensei JC and his fellow instructors have created a truly wonderful place to learn and train.My kids have grown so much.... self discipline, respect and of course amazing karate skills.Competition team is beyond amazing.We are so excited for upcoming tournaments and amazing FMA summer camps.Thank you FMA and Sensei JC for having us!

We love our dojo so much! The best environment I could wish for my son. Their approach is outstanding to each child. Even the most shy kids feel comfortable almost right away. Kindness and wisdom is the way it’s done here. We have been a part of this dojo for 3 years now.

I discovered this place looking for a cool place for my son’s 5 years old birthday party. He had the best party ever and started karate classes, which he loves and learn a lot about life skills and martial arts. My 7 y.o daughter also joined and love the classes too.Great dojo! I highly recommend

Who knew a trial karate class for our 4 year old son in 2008 then again with our daughter 5 years later would take our family on a whirlwind adventure all around the world in a 15 year time span?! The training curriculum at Fonseca Martial Arts is top notch from white belts all the way to elite level black belts. The instructors really get to know the students and will tailor classes in such a way that your child will reach his/her potential by the end of each lesson.Aside from the physical benefits of karate, Fonseca Martial Arts also emphasizes the importance of focus, perseverance, integrity, and grit. There’s a reason why teachers recommend students to the art of karate because the ripple effects can be seen in the classroom and home as well.If you want to invest in a sport that fulfills your child’s physical and psychological needs, then Fonseca Martial Arts is definitely worth the try.

I had an incredible experience at this karate dojo! The sensei's techniques were top-notch, and the professionalism of the entire team was evident. The facilities were excellent, providing a conducive environment for learning. They were fantastic with kids of all ages, making the classes engaging and enjoyable. Fonseca Martial Arts is truly exceptional! The goals/ expectations that I have for my child continue to be exceeded. Since starting at Fonseca, I can see improvement in my childs physical strength, balance, focus and interaction with others. Sensei JC and Sensei Gerson teach respect, leadership, they motivate children to want to improve, they provide individualized feedback to build on skills and confidence. I am grateful for all my child has learned and look forward to continued growth with Fonseca Martial Arts. My 6 year old son has been attending the Glenview Dojo for 18 months. His experience has been outstanding. The instructors do an excellent job motivating the students. They are fantastic teachers who naturally blend hard work with fun and skillfully teach both Karate and self esteem.The program is well thought out. My son has progressed through three levels of class and as a result, I’ve seen the evolution of how Fonseca nurtures the youngest students and then adds more responsibility and expectation with each next level of class.I highly recommend Fonseca Martial Arts for anyone. Try a class and see for yourself.

We’ve been sending our kid here for a few months! We love it and the teachers make karate fun while teaching the principles of discipline and commitment. We switched from another karate studio and our kid is thriving under the Fonseca program. It’s also wonderful that they have multiple studios, it means we can work the classes and tests around our life and not the other way around. Also theres no contract, unlike other karate studios! All around, highly recommend ??

My seven year old has been attending classes at Fonseca Martial Arts, in Glenview for close to two years now. It has really been an amazing experience for him. Attending this dojo is an opportunity to learn from the best. The instructors are amazing at what they do. They are very accomplished and knowledgeable about karate and it shows. For kids my son's age, they create an incredibly positive atmosphere, that makes them want to learn and do better. Could not recommend enough.

Our daughter is having a fantastic experience at Fonseca Martial Arts in Glenview. JC is amazing with kids and runs an excellent dojo. I am so impressed with how my daughter has been both physically challenged but also how they instill a sense of respect, responsibility, and striving for improvement in these kids. I highly recommend checking it out for a well rounded - physical and mental - activity.

John Fonseca, a Brazilian jiu-jitsu black belt, has started a jiu-jitsu program led by Anthony Kalina, another extremely talented jiu-jitsu black belt and instructor. I have known both for about a decade, and recommend them whole-heartedly. If you're looking for quality jiu-jitsu instruction for adults or kids, look no further, you've found it!
