I would highly recommend. Over draft fees are way to high though.

I went to this bank to cash in my checks. The lady said that she needed more identification after me giving her my state ID. What a terrible service. Not just that but she kept asking me the same question 3 times after I had already answered. What a SERVICE!

Why are the ATMs for Busey locations never open? Very frustrating.

This bank is the absolute worst. They bought out my local bank and since then the service has gone down and the fees have gone up. I tried to open a student account for my daughter going to college. We applied online because their web site says, "Why wait in line? Open your Busey account online ... it's quick and easy!" Sounds great! Well after we filled out all the forms online it said we had to call the bank anyway. We did. No one answered. So we left a voicemail. Someone called back the next day and left a message to call them back. We called again. Again no answer. Then they stopped calling us back. We are trying really hard to give them new business, and they don't answer the phones and stop calling back... Who runs a business like this?I noticed a new fee on my paper statements. Turns out they charge a paper statement fee now. My old bank did not. So I looked at all our accounts and sure enough they had been charging this for a couple of months already - without advance warning. Not a huge deal, but it's just typical of a big corporate bank: nickel-and-diming you to death. They have started sending us credit card applications in the mail on a regular basis now. I don't want these. They are prone to credit fraud if they end up in the wrong person's hands, especially given that the postal service regularly misdelivers our mail. I worked in direct marketing, so I know a bit about the junk mail industry. I am on the national "do not mail" list. I am not supposed to get credit card applications, but Busey doesn't care, they send them to me and my daughter anyway all the time now. I guess I'll have to contact them and tell them to stop.Today was the topper. My son, a minor with a custodial account, was just charged a $30 service fee for some unknown reason. I opened a chat window with them to inquire. If it's like the last time I "chatted" with them, they will get back to me in a day or two. I opened this account to teach my son about banking and saving money. Well I guess we're both learning - that this bank stinks.I am closing all my accounts here as soon as feasibly possible. Typical big corporate bank. I miss my old bank... Why did they sell out to these guys?

Sad excuse for a bank. First of all the banker who got my new account started was like 19, gave me wrong account number, could not set up app, gave me nothing but bad information. Not even close to being knowledgeable with her position at that bank. I thought I was making an improvement with my banking but apparently not here.

Glenview State Bank was a gem. Customer service was paramount and it was indeed a small town bank feeling. Unfortunately, Glenview State Bank ("GSB") was purchased by Busey Bank. Busey Bank = Wells Fargo. Customer Service is a thing of the past. With Busey you are a number, not a customer. Strongly suggest you go elsewhere and find a bank that will meet your needs unless you are a fan of the Wells Fargo business model.

I had a dispute and they sent me flowers! Who does that? Not Chase. I like them.

Now they no longer have a live teller at the drive through and the tv teller who comes on the screen has no $10 bills at all because they don't fit in her drawer. She also can't give you an envelope for your cash. This is a sorry excuse for a bank and a real slap in the face for former Glenview State Bank customers

Absolutely the worst customer service! They never answer their phone and instead after a long hold time you have to leave your number for a call back an hour later! Bank is a ghost town inside and nobody to help with personal banking. Even online response to questions takes long. Glenview Stare Bank was such a great operation and so helpful and answered every phone call. Since Busey took over it has completely destroyed what was! They keep promising they are improving but zero improvement has happened in 1 year! They are trying to operate a bank in Glenview from Champaign,IL and it is not working. All they have are excuses! After 50 years at GSB I'm walking away! Terrible job Busey!

This review is for Busey Bank, NOT Glenview State Bank, which was acquired by Busey Bank.Horrible Bank. Horrible Bill Pay System. Did Paul A. Jones lose the bank (Glenview State Bank) in a poker game? I'll be withdrawing all of my money this week. Did I mention Busey Bank is a horrible bank?Update (1/25/2022): As promised, I closed my accounts at the end of Dec. 2021. I banked with Glenview State Bank for 48 years, then Busey bought them out. I'm so glad to be out of there. Find a community bank in your neighborhood and bank there. You won't be sorry! Run people! Run! Don't look back!

Glenview State Bank sold to BUSEY BANK. For 22 straight years, a person answered the phone 90% of the time. Busey Bank (so far) is 0% with a call back within 45 minutes 90% of the time. It is harder and takes longer to do simple day-to-day banking. I was hopeful and looking forward to updated banking practices. I am disappointed and looking to change banks at this point (which I hate doing!).

Grossly incompetent.Mom passed away. She had an IRA with the bank.It took many calls to get coordination and paperwork completed.Waited months for disbursement check.Called for status of the check, and the account rep did not see any evidence of paperwork, much less alone that there were beneficiaries on the IRA.Then treated me like an incompetent customer when he said, “How can I help you, when you don’t even remember who it is you talked to months ago.”Evidently, the customer needs to do the bulk of the work because the people at the bank do not feel that they are expected to be competent.Consider yourself warned.

Can you book an appointment with an account manager in Glenview to discuss your bank accounts?

Nothing is harder then Glenview state bank selling out to Busey. I wanted to give them a chance because the transition period is tough, but I've had a few small problems and repairing them never goes smoothly. Of course being a senior, I still live with cash and checks, but I do have a cards I could use. They don't answer their phones on a regular basis , so if your in trouble, you. Have you know it's not going to be solved quickly. Their card machine has been down twice when I needed to have my card repaired. I lost my slip that said how much change I put in their machine and of course I'm just sitting here because there is no one to help me. I am upset and the person behind the counter was an officer who was snippy at me. It's a new year next week, so it's time for a new bank as well.

Was a customer of GSB for over 40 years, always thought of it as an awesome bank. BUSEY Bank took over a great bank only to have it destroyed! The absolute worst transition I've seen (have had other banks bought out over the years and they were seamless). BUSEY has put their transition burden on their customers along with charging statement fees for statements that look like they're from the 1980's! Sure miss the old Glenview State Bank, from the amazing live phone receptionist to the awesome personal banker that I had.... Looking for a new bank that operates closer to what I'm used to.
