This Marianos is disgusting. Just look at the bathroom. If this is the lack of care they show the bathroom, which is NOT handicap or stroller friendly, just imagine what the rest of the place is like. After being in the bathroom, I was too grossed out to shop. Never again. Do better, Glenview.

Mariano's is better than Jewel, but I wish they made more fresh soup. I love their soups, but they tend to run out before noon and don't make more until the evening rush, and that often runs out by 5.

Mariano's on Waukegan has consistently proven to be a major disappointment, particularly with their shady business practices. The most egregious issue is their blatant manipulation of coupons. Time and again, I've found that the coupons I present mysteriously fail to apply correctly at checkout, despite meeting all the stated requirements. It's frustrating to deal with such incompetence, or perhaps, intentional deceit.
Moreover, the store has a habit of overcharging for items that are supposed to be on sale. It's not a one-off mistake; it happens frequently enough that it's clearly a systemic issue. I've had to double-check my receipts and prices on numerous occasions, and each time, I've discovered discrepancies that should not exist. This practice feels like a deliberate attempt to mislead customers and squeeze extra money from them.
It's a shame that a store that prides itself on quality and customer service engages in such underhanded tactics. I would advise shoppers to be extremely vigilant when shopping here, check every receipt, and be prepared to contest charges. It's sad to see a store stoop to such levels, turning what should be a straightforward shopping experience into a constant battle against being scammed.

Deli department manager John, please do not allow negative aggressive employees like NHAD to allow to take customers. Ask ION who seems to be trained and polite. I’m lucky my nearby locations have much better customer service and don’t risk bringing new unhappy and confrontational people to face the customer.

It used to be a great place to shop at. The buffet is tiny now, no salad bar, & they rarely cook your meat at this location anymore due to shortage of employees.

This once was my favorite location however over the past 2 plus yrs it has constantly gotten worse each time I go.Check the dates on everything from the shelves! If it's not out of date it's close to being out of date. With the exception of the 3 cashiers who handle the registers, there is little to no customer service.4/24 I went to the deli to purchase an advertised salad, mind you this is a deli item, I asked the woman in the deli if they had this salad. She said it's with the salads upfront which I.found odd but went to look of course it wasn't there. As I passed by the deli again she said was it there and I said No it's a deli item.She laughed literally laughed and said I know. Wow inappropriate and ru!de

I love Mariano’s. It’s like the best combination of Trader Joe’s and Whole Foods. Prices are fair (and even lower than Jewel Osco) but the quality is high, and selection of products is great. Lines are not too bad even on the weekends.
