This is an outstanding business. Workmanship is superb, prices are fair, and the work is all done onsite. I’ve had several vintage watches serviced by them, and I can’t overstate how pleased I am with the quality of their service. Also, they stand behind the work. On two occasions something needed further attention, which they provided promptly and to my total satisfaction. These are the guys you want to service your watch.

They did an excellent job on every watch I brought in. They did polishing on few rolex watches and APs and made them look absolutely spotless and very quick too. 10/10

Probably a fine place to get a battery changed on your watch, but avoid at all costs if you need professional-level work done.-Damaged my dial irreparably during a $540 “overhaul”. Scratches and hand drag which were not present on the previously mint condition dial-Gave watch back the first time with hands all out of whack. See pic at 3 o’clock where hour and gmt hand sit at 320-330-Scratches on caseback, presumably because they don’t have the proper Rolex tools to access the movement-Swapped bracelets on the two watches I dropped off; I snapped a spring bar trying to get them back to original-Gave watches back to me with greasy fingerprints all over the acrylic and case. Zero concern for how the item is presented to a customer, and demonstrative of their attitude throughout this process.Email below sent to them. I went back in and discussed with M - he made numerous excuses and said anything he could to try and get out of the jam he and his team got themselves into. “You didn’t pay us to restore your watch”, “if the hands being off is a problem for you we can fix it under warranty”. Lovely things like that.M accused me of threatening him when I asked him what people would say if I posted pictures of my watch and said that I paid $540 for service to get it back damaged with the hands jacked up. Mind you I said nothing about mentioning the name of the shop, but he made the active choice to respond aggressively. Further, at no point did he apologize or act with any sort of empathy - I likely wouldn’t have posted this review if he had expressed any sort of professionalism to own and make right the SNAFU by his shop.Email:Hello - You came very highly recommended from a trusted friend so I am in partial shock that I have to write this email. There are major issues with the repair work that was supposed to be performed on my Rolex GMT 16710 and I wanted to alert you to them, and offer you the opportunity to provide an acceptable remedy before I pursue alternative avenues to make myself whole.I paid $540 for an overhaul and the alleged work that was performed is completely unacceptable, even if it were done for free. I dropped off a watch that was in near-perfect external condition, but for the movement not working...likely because it is a 32 year old watch with an unknown service history.I received this watch back:- On the wrong bracelet (as discussed in store at pick-up)- With numerous scratches on the caseback that appear to demonstrate questionable methods for opening and closing (Photo #4)- A completely messed up and amateur hand setting, as evidenced by the position of the hands at 12 oclock (Photo #2 - hour hand and GMT hand right of 12 oclock at what should be 12 oclock) and 3 oclock (Photo #3 - GMT hand and hour hand showing 320 somehow!?- And the icing on the cake, which is irreparable without replacement, scratches on the dial at 1 oclock and hour hand dragging at 4-5 oclock (Photos #5, 6, 7)Photo 1 is a picture of the watch before I dropped it off. There is absolutely no evidence of the issues described above. The lack of care while the watch was at your shop for repair is truly offensive to me at this point, absent any response from your business.

These guys are absolute skilled at what they do. They are master technicians. They are very reasonably priced and honest. Do NOT bring your Rolex to CD Peacock, brink it to MJ watch service, you get better work and save alot of money.

Have been going here for about 10 years for watch battery replacements and minor watch repair. This is by far the best place I have found anywhere in Chicagoland. The store has actual watch-makers on staff who can rebuild or fix any watch including Rolex, Tag, Omega, and all other brands. They can also repair automatic and mechanical watches too.I have a swiss (quartz) dive watch that I recently acquired. It needed a new battery. The dive watch required a new gasket/seal to ensure that the watch would remain waterproof after changing the battery. There is no way that an inexperienced jeweler or over the counter battery place would ever have known this. Don't go anywhere else.

They kept my Panerai for three weeks and kept stringing me along. I finally got fed up and their excuse was that they don't have a good relationship with Panerai and for that reason couldn't get the part necessary. They get two stars because when I got it back it was working fine. Did it really need the part they suggested. I guess I will never know. Thanks MJ.
