These people are the best at what they do. I've had more than a couple unfortunate incidences (one that's about as major as they come in the insurance world, and a few minor) and they always go above and beyond.

Shewchuck Insurance is very professional, with excellent customer service. Tom really helped resolve an insurance issue for me, saving me money and increasing my coverage. I would recommend using them for auto and home owner insurance.

So bummed I never used an independent agent in the past. They can actually evaluate what is the best plan for you. If you go with a big group like State Farm, they don't care about you, don't tell you the fine print, and actually make the process of filing a claim extra difficult. Fortunately I have never had to file a claim with Shewchuck but I know that if I did, they would be my first call and they would be my advocate. At a minimum, you should check these guys out and compare what they have to offer against your current policy.
