About The Crystal Cave
Austrian designer Josef Puehringer founded The Crystal Cave in 1969 in Wilmette, Illinois, located along Chicago’s North Shore. He studied with some of the world’s most prestigious glass artisans in Europe. He came to America bringing their knowledge with him.
Josef relocated to Glenview, IL in 2012 , so he could incorporate the latest technology including surface lasers, sub-surface lasers, sandblasting and fragile glass repair. Using these techniques he is able to literally paint portraits within the framework of a crystal block.

A truly magical place to shop for custom gifts and trophies. Impeccable craftsmanship. They also do a great job with crystal repairs. I've had antique crystal decanters and coupe glasses repaired here and they did a wonderful job.
