I used to get steaks from Costco, but with a few trips to wildfire, it becomes my only place to get steak and lamb.At first, I was a little worried because everything is frozen, but man, it it fresh after thaw. Plus, the meat has been trimmed well and clean up. Either the steak or chicken, it’s always nicely presented. Very satisfied with the meat quality.

I guess it was my mistake to assume they offer all natural meats. The sausage includes "natural Ingredients" which is actually unnatural, and another ingredient, also not natural. So why is the meat here more expensive?

apparently Wild Fork doesn't want to hear feedback, if they are going to be successful they will read the yelp reviews and respond.

Since the opening we have spent $968.45total at Wild Fork GLENVIEW. Our first purchases were a trial of many different things. Meats, chicken, fish, frozen foods. It was our trial and error time. Some purchases were good, worth a repeat. Some landed in the garbage. Bought sushi grade tuna steaks … both steaks tasted like freeze burn not fresh at all… 1 of the steaks was worse than the other, the color and smell of the steak was off. Better options around the area.. expensive and a waste of money

With all the inflation that is a daily reality-- this place gives you a huge variety-- great quality-- and I am very fussy-- and the real advantage here is-- that you can use just what you want that night-- and leave the rest in the freezer. My favorite is the seafood-- which is so hard to find at a reasonable price point. The scallops are DIVINE! The real test of freshness is when they have a slight sweetness to the flavor. Just put in a ziploc bag-- place in cold water-- and before you finish your salad-- they are ready to cook-- which never takes long-- like 3 minutes-- longer-- they will be shoe leather. Their jumbo pink shrimp from Florida are a favorite go to. From a cocktail to salads, to tempura for the old fashioned fish fry-- they are delicious. So is the flounder. Want some nice dessert fir that romantic dinner? Try the individual cheesecakes or the French donuts filled with chocolate and hazelnut ganache. Don't forget the key lime pie. At first I was a bit skeptical about a store where everything is frozen. Now I am saving money with no waste, and having some very nice dinners. No more wondering what to do tonight-- just make a nice salad, and raid the freezer. Whether you are planning a dinner for guests, and need a short cut-- or live alone-- give this place a try. You won't be sorry.

I had never been to a Wild Fork before and was curious to see what it was all about. My first visit to the store was a positive experience. The store was clean (brand new location), nicely laid out, and the employees were helpful and eager to please. The prices were "ok," but nothing special. Nearly everything in the store is frozen, which is an interesting concept. I generally do not buy frozen meat, but we decided to try a few things. Specifically, we were going to make chicken noodle soup. We bought a bag of frozen chicken strips, two bags of frozen carrots, and a 12-pack of parsley. The soup was awful. First, after making it, we had to strain the entire thing because the chicken "flakes" made a mess up the soup. But it was terrible after putting it back together, making new broth, and re-adding the new parsley back in. The chicken was very tough and tasted so bland, even though it was sitting in a soup that had been seasoned. It was awful, and we tossed the entire thing in the garbage.Since I signed up for their mailing list, Wild Fork sent me a survey link. I left them similar feedback and requested that someone contact me about the experience, and I am still waiting for someone to do so. Quite shocking that they prompt customers in the survey about receiving contact from customer service about the experience and then ignore the request. I left this feedback over five weeks ago now.Ultimately, we wasted $26.70 worth of food and will not be back.
