I want to preface this with my credentials. I am a gas station and bathroom connoisseur with over 19 years of experience. I graduated from Princeton in 2001 with a Bachelor of Science in environmental engineering with a focus on wastewater management, and got my master’s degree in bathroom administration from DeVry in 2004. I am working on my PhD in Gas Station Studies, studying under Dr Buckee as my doctoral advisor at Brown University. With all this being said, this is undoubtedly the worst gas station AND bathroom I’ve ever been to, and trust me when I say I’ve taken my fair share of duces in some unholy corners of the earth. When you first pull into the gas station's parking lot, you are greeted by the green glow of the BP sign, but whether this green glow is from the sign or the toxic conditions of this gas station is unclear. The levels of toxicity coming from this place have not only created an unpleasant experience for the gas station but also started to affect some of the townspeople, as I saw a man roaming around the outside of the gas station without teeth or a shirt, a poor victim of the toxicity in the air l.
When you walk into the gas station, you’ll be greeted by the smell of dust as if you had just walked into the attic of an abandoned home. You’ll buy a granola bar or a bag of Doritos and find that it expired in 2014. You’ll try to get a Pepsi from the soda fountain just for it to be all sour, carbonated tap water. But most deplorable of all, you’ll go to the bathroom where you’ll be greeted by mold, mildew, and an unflushed chocolate long john marinating waiting for you to discover it like a lost treasure. If you have to go number 1, maybe you’ll be able to make it out lucky, hold your breath while you do it, and don’t touch anything but yourself. But if you have to do the number 2, I pray for your soul, as if any part of you that touches that toilet bowl will probably break out in strange hives. This is perhaps the only bathroom in the world where you get even dirtier by washing your hands. This sink and the surrounding area are ground zero for diseases that have yet to be discovered, probably the birthplace of the next plague. It’s like the water from the toilet goes directly to the sink. Don’t even get me started on the air dryer, it’s like trying to dry your hands with somebody else’s toots. All around, I am just shocked by the levels of deplorability and degeneracy in this place. There are probably better bathrooms and gas stations in Chernobyl. So, to the BP, in good hope you have me leaving feeling bad and hopeless, take the extra 12 minutes to stop by Macomb and use a gas station, it will be well worth your time, and you won’t have to worry about contracting some strange disease.

This is the first place coming thru Good Hope heading into Macomb. They do not deserve your business. It is disgusting and based on the reviews has been for years. I'll hold it and my wallet for a biz that cares even a tiny bit.

Only gas in the area and the store and restrooms r disgusting. I travel alot and make the mistake of stopping here a few times. Have put it in my phone as a reminder to never stop here again. The BP name should be ashamed of this place.
