My friend and I were doing a girls weekend for her granddaughters birthday and booked a weekend here. Check in was a breeze, desk clerk was super nice and professional. Loved our room, it faced the main drag, had a mini fridge and chair with dresser and 2 queen beds. We woke up Saturday morning to the smell of bacon all through the hotel. Yum!! When the dining room opened we ate breakfast. The sausage gravy was very good, biscuits baked just right, fried egg was on point, oj was good. The bath towels were some of the best I've ever encountered in a hotel - large, soft, thick. All of the staff we encountered were very pleasant and helpful. Only thing I would recommend would be a 2nd trash can in the room. Will definitely be back.

Awesome place. We stayed in Captains room on second floor. Girlfriend went looking for ice machine at midnight. Something spooked her and she came back to the room pretty quick. That was great!!! Was it Abigail? Don't forget to try the breakfast.

The staff in the hotel and in Abigail's tap room are awesome. We had so much fun. The only thing I'd change is making the bed a bit softerNearby activities: They had karaoke in the attached bar. Was the first I believe they saidFood & drinks: I love that there is a bar restaurant attached. Good thing because my group had no business driving after we drank Friday night

Room price was expensive. Need rooms decorated. Nice to have a bar attached. We waited over an hour for breakfast but it was good. The bartender/server was the best!!Nearby activities: Quaint town with a nice flea market and friendly local shops all walking distance

Although we loved the location and charm of this hotel, there was no hot water! Apparently they have a tankless hot water system and it is recommended to let the faucets run before expecting hot water. No time frame was given. On a 2-night stay, the first morning we were limited on time and letting it run 5-10 minutes was not enough so no showers for our party of 3. The second morning I woke up early to turn both faucets on wide open. After an hour there was still no hot water. No front desk person at 8:30am and no one in housekeeping could be located. I called both customer service numbers posted. No answer. I wandered around the small hotel several times and finally went by the kitchen of the adjoining restaurant. A staff worker said she would call someone. The water in my room is still running & still no hot water. An hour & 40 mins later from first starting the water, hotel staff told me she had to flip a switch on the hot water system. That did nothing for the water in our room. Still ice cold. She opened an empty clean room and we were able to take showers there. Word of advice, if you do end up staying- do not stay in Room #8. Also, the noise from the music from the downstairs restaurant on Friday night was extremely loud in our room. On a good note, waking up to the smell of bacon on both mornings was pretty awesome although we did not eat there as we had other plans. For the amount of money we spent on this 2-night stay, my expectations were a lot higher for this hotel.

Always a hauntingly good time!! Breakfast was great. They worked very hard feeding our big group. Beds are comfortable. Silas accommodates our big group so nicely. We always enjoy our haunting tours trying to talk to Abigail. She was fairly active the weekend we were there.

Beautiful old style hotel that had a creepy feel. Creepy in a good way, like in a movie. Room was small but very clean. Beds were OK.Walkability: Very close to the main downtown area, everything was within walking distance.

The rebel Motel is overpriced and the young manager of the motel is an a****** I would not recommend this motel for anybody it didn't even have toilet paper you had to scrounge around for toilet

Loved the Ruebel!!! My husband and I had a weekend getaway to Grafton and stayed in the Jacuzzi Suite. Everything was amazing. The room was clean, the Jacuzzi tub was awesome, and the location was perfect within walking distance of so many restaurants and shops. The only bummer was that the little restaurant that is attached wasn't open so we couldn't have breakfast there. But other than that it was amazing!! Thanks so much for the hospitality!! We'll be back!

The Ruebel Hotel is one of the oldest and quaint buildings I have ever stayed at. Located on the main drag of Grafton, Illinois this was a weekend where eagles and I got to make each others acquaintance. Get up early and try to find where the visiting raptors might be nesting for the night as they prepare to go fishing.

I took my sister to Grafton for a quick 1 night stay/getaway for her birthday. The Ruebel was very clean and quaint. It is interesting to me that there is not staff on site 24/7 but that wouldn’t keep me from staying again. It was a Monday which most things were closed in Grafton on a Monday in November. I was disappointed Abigail’s bar was closed as I heard such great things about it, but makes sense as most other places were closed also. Roxie who said she works in the bar was there and super sweet to check us in. The room they had designated for us (#10) was very small and noisy as it faced the street, (seemed more of a standard room vs superior room I paid for) so when asked she was kind enough to relocate us. She gave us an interesting tour and we had our pick of “superior” class rooms as there was only one other room rented for the night. We stayed in room #11 also known as “Abigail’s room.” I wouldn’t necessarily say anything paranormal happened, but I would say we both heard footsteps running up and down the halls and distant voices in the middle of the night and she also saw the bed sheets move on their own as if someone walked by and brushed up against them. The air conditioner didn’t seem to be the coldest either in that room. The hotel is walking distance to many places including Aeries winery which was fun with the sky tour gondalas and sky coaster. Over all we were happy with the stay and will be back again.

Great stay for a weekend get away! So cute inside and cozy. Cyrus at the front desk was also very accommodating and hospitable. He helped us with all of our concerns and was so kind. Would love to stay here again, great breakfast too.

The “manager” that first claimed she wasn’t a manager was blatantly rude and ignorant. Has no idea what their policies actually are. She declined when I told her I’d read them to her myself. The things she said to me, it was like I was speaking to a 16 year old at McDonald’s. Bizarre. The place must have sold because we’ve never been treated like this. We’ll be finding a new place to stay in Grafton.
