Well we encountered with an employee named Jenny that dealt with our car loan We were 2 months behind, owed 270 dollars and days before Christmas. She had our car repo and now its going to cost us 1200 dollars to get it back, so we had to cancel Christmas and take back presents to come up with the money she told us Christmas was irrelevant HATELESS

This is probably the worst bank possible that I ever had to deal with the rude staff is trying to tell me what I can and can't do with my money when it's my money All they're doing is just holding it for me that's all they're doing but I should be able to do whatever I want with it and second of all they want to treat me and my boyfriend horrible they treated us like we were criminals and kicked him out of the room when I wanted him to come with me in the first place just because he wasn't on the account but they had no problem with him when I was setting up the account so I'm switching banks they are horrible and they need to be put out of business because they're rude and incompetent and they don't give you the answers you're looking for and this is just from today

NO WONDER WHY THEIR RATINGS OR SO LOW, ITS PROBABLY THE WORSE BACK TO HAVE, THEY ONLINE SYSTEM SUCKS AND WHEN U TRY TO GET A LOAN U GET 3RD DEGREE WHATEVER U GETTING THE LOAN FOR THEY WANTS TO PAY IT FOR U INSTEAD OF DEPOSITING THE MONEY I THINK IM GOING TO HAVE TO CLOSE THE ACCOUNT WITH THEM MY WIFE BEEN TELLING ME TO HER BANK HELPS HER WITH NO PROBLEM THIS SHOULD BE A LAST RESORT TYPE OF BANK MATTER FACT THATS WHAT THEIR NAME SHOULD CHANGE TO I BEEN WAITING TO HEAR BACK FROM THEM FOR 6 HRS TALKING ABOUT I AM APPROVED WHEN...... WHEN NEXT WEEK COME ON GET IT TOGETHER

It's pretty simple and quick to get through the drive through which is usually what I am there for. Even going inside is usually no trouble. I can't imagine banking anywhere else.

Absolutely Disrespectful in every sense of the word. The Alton branch of gcs is a JOKE! The power tripping silver back gorilla that works the counter is the worst employee if ever seen. I've been a member over 10 years and today I'm closing my account and oh so happy to do so. The joy it brings me to know i will never step foot into another GCS bank is wonderful. Save yourself the headache and $5. This bank is horrible, they employ rude animals and probably reward them for making your banking experience as inconvenient and frustrating as possible!

This is probably the worst bank I’ve ever had to bank with other than US bank. Their staff are rude, inconsiderate and simply not helpful. The only upside is they give a card same day as opening an account. Will never bank here again.

The drive thru has gotten 100x worse the last 3 years or so. Been a member since 1989 and....wow, the new younger tellers are so slow and don't care one bit about you

Customer beware.Seems they have a trend where you purchase something online with their GCS card and just a few days later receive a 25$ NSF charge for said purchase. Really? How was it possible to purchase something online with your debit card if you didn't have sufficient funds?...ikr...YOU CAN'T!Or how about using your card to purchase a snack from a vending machine, having a payment declined pop up, and then being charged 25$ NSF for a transaction that NEVER took place. Happened to me. Happens ALL THE TIMEIt will happen to you.Oh they'll reimburse you if you pitch a fit ( common sense factor ) but never all the money your due.Thinking about signing up for Enron next.

We've been customers for years with sizable accounts. Today my husband wanted to make a withdrawal and was asked if he had an appointment. We didn't know that was necessary, only one other customer was in the lobby, several of the women employees were gatherd around the printer. No chairs or benches to wait on, he was told to go back in the hot car and they'd call him but he doesn't carry a cell phone. He said he'd wait and sat on a side table. No one was wearing masks why, continue with the COVID rules, Take care of the customers.
