Until recently I would have said it was a great place. You pay a premium of course but it is local and the staff is very helpful. The other day I placed an order for pickup. I ordered a 1/2-inch PVC pipe and a few 1/2-inch fittings. The fittings were correct the pipe was not. The clerk kept insisting that was what I ordered. The look on his face was terrifying. I was a bit scared. He refused to look at my order sheet. He just kept repeating "This is what you ordered". I asked to speak to a manager, he replied he was the manager. Finally, we walked back together and I exchanged the larger, more expensive pipe for the correct size. As I was leaving the store he said "I'm going to call the store owners and tell them how rude you were". I tried to call the store this morning before filing this review. I asked for a manager and was given to the same clerk. When I said I wanted to give the store a chance first he said "No go ahead and do my review". Done.

Most of the time...all you need is your local hardware store to get your work done and the staff is more helpful than at the big box stores.

Ace always sell that thing you need and you can't find anywhere else, especially big box stores. The employees are extremely knowledgeable, know exactly what you need, never come out of that store disappointed.

Fantastic recent experience. Went in looking for a replacement part or full replacement unit for a bathroom exhaust fan with a dead motor. The expert there found the exact part that I needed (which Home Depot did not carry), and it was a very easy project to swap it out at home. Love having Ace right down the street for this type of customer service and local convenience.

Propane tank fill up. Also a great place to hit up for odd and ends surprisingly that big box hardware doesn't carry.
