June 2023 by The Humble Princess
I hope the staff read this review! I specifically chose to take my son to this hospital today for a lump in the back of his head-neck but now I see I chose poorly! Don’t have to worry about me coming back here. The front desk receptionist was very vague and once we got to our room the nurse (Neomi) was very bias, vague and a little rude. The doctor did exactly what I did at home which was felt where the “knot” was and diagnosed it as a swollen lymph node from a previous viral infection. No more than 60 seconds literally. No further tests just to rule out any furtherance if any a waste of time. But it’s okay I’ll be taking my son to his actual medical team and then following up with his pediatrician. I didn’t think it was anything major in the first place for several factors but being a mother I had to go to the emergency room just to be safe! If you want quick service go here, thorough maybe not!

They give the worst advice told me I didn’t need antibiotics (I did) and the packing they put in the wound should’ve been removed after 12 hours but they had me keep it in for 3 DAYS!!!!!! And this isn’t the first time they gave me wrong advice stay away!

I dont know if they have a problem with Hispanics but since me and my friend got there even the patients were looking at us with this weird look. My friend had an appointment at 10:15 & we were there at 9:40. They said they called his name twice & nobody answered. They said he needed to reschedule an appointment. Hmmmm we never heard his name, they called all the white ladies 1st ….

Don’t bother coming here especially if you don’t have insurance. The last two times I had to go in the staff acted like I was such a bother. I didn’t even see the doctor for more than 2 minutes max. I went to Condell in Libertyville yesterday instead and you are soooo much better off going there.

Made an appointment 2 MONTHS AGO. Registration is terrible, they sent me to the wrong room, even after I showed them the appointment was for my FIVE YEAR OLD. They sent me to room 301 GI (adults) and it took several minutes in there figuring out why they can see my daughters name but no other appointment information. They sent me back to registration, who clearly knew nothing. They said maybe try the second floor. So I start walking to the elevators and call the doctors office to get the correct room since nobody seems to know their job here. Finally I get the correct room only to be told I’m now 15 minutes late and they can’t see us. 2 months and an hour drive later. FURIOUS. Either give the suite number on the voicemail, or have better registration ladies! I could’ve cried my daughter has been waiting for this appointment for months!

I love Drs,nurses, and staffs who work there. They are very prompt and curtous. Explain before the procedure and during after. I don't know what made other lady to wait 3hrs but should have given a reason or rescheduled. Nobody wants to wait 3hrs!

Omigosh! Thanks to everyone there, especially my MRI technician, Kayla. She made me feel very comfortable and calm. From the greater at the door to the lady who checked me in to the beautiful premises, I can't say enough.

This review is about the er in grayslake. Horrible, I will never ever step foot in this facility. I was sent to the er from the colonoscopy floor after a colonoscopy and my care was horrible. Avoid grayslake ER at all costs.

Five star nursing care today in the Endoscopy Center. Obviously super busy yet they take the time to get it all right! They seem to give every patient their very best! Very professional and caring. Also thank you to the Volunteer worker at the Endoscopy desk. I'm sorry I didn't catch her name but she is just the person for that job. Very personable and helpful.

I've always like Northwestern in Grayslake & had mammograms, tests & doctors here - until 7/29/2021 - when I walked into the center, they were SO RUDE & NASTY. I went inside to transfer my mammogram records to Women's Center in Libertyville & they yelled at me SO MEAN & NASTY you must re-mask. I said: I already have a mask on. I was told we don't know where you've been before coming in. I said: I just put on a BRAND NEW MASK in my car & walked here. EVERYONE, including visitors, ALL HAD ONLY 1 MASK ON. Then lady behind glass shield would not wait on me after I double masked. I said: Hello, I need to have my mammogram records transferred. She said: We Don't Do That Here SO SNAUGHTY! I said: Then where? She pointed SO COLD & NASTY to Imaging Dept. I SAW SEVERAL WORKERS GO OUTSIDE & BACK INSIDE WITH THE SAME MASK ON WAITING ON VISITORS - THEY NEVER RE-MASK. I have friends who go to North Shore Center & ER in Round Lake & they get treated so well, professional & nice there. I will never go back to Grayslake.

I cannot even believe that Northwestern is not requiring their employees to be vaccinated. Be warned, the person "caring" for you could infect you.
