I like the store it's nice and well clean but sometimes some of the staff can be really rude and condescending, too the point I have started using USPS for my business instead and I only visited today to drop off a personal return

I’ve been coming to this UPS store for years with various experiences, but today compelled me to write this review.
I’ve visited multiple UPS locations in the area, and this was the first time one attempted to charge me for simply taping down a flap on a package. The package was already secured—it just needed the flap pressed down. I’ve seen employees at this very location tape packages for other customers at no cost, so it seems that courtesy is selectively applied. Every other UPS store I’ve visited has been more than willing to help with minor package adjustments, but here, I was directed to purchase their overpriced tape or pay a service fee.
As the owner previously stated in a response to another reviewer: “Please understand that The UPS Stores are independently owned and operated by franchisees of The UPS Store. Pricing, services, and hours of operation vary by location.” It’s clear where this location’s priorities lie.
This isn’t my only issue with this store. In a past experience, I was quoted $340 for printing 400 flyers—while a neighboring print shop charged just $75 for the same job.
At this point, the only thing this location is good for is Amazon drop-offs (as long as they’re taped like a time capsule).
UPDATE/EDIT: Updating my original review to include a screenshot of the now-deleted review by “Larry B,” which appeared suspiciously right after mine—until another reviewer pointed it out. I’m shocked that a UPS employee might be manipulating reviews to boost their Google ratings. Reviews should reflect both positive and negative experiences. While not all of my visits here have been bad, this incident changed my perspective. I had planned to continue using this location for Amazon drop-offs, but after this, I’m taking my business elsewhere.

To clarify, Larry B is mistaken in his claims. Interestingly, while he expresses frustration over misinformation, he seems to overlook the inaccuracies in his own statements.
I have personally encountered a similar issue at this location, where employees appear to be inconsistent in their approach to taping packages. During a recent visit, an older gentleman who working informed me that my box required additional tape. I asked if he could tape it for me, as it was just a single box, but he told me I would need to return with more tape. Accepting this policy, I left, added more tape, and came back. However, upon my return, I noticed the same employee assisting another customer in a similar situation—except this time, the employee provided extra tape at no charge, eliminating the need for the customer to make a second trip.
Additionally Larry, you did not actually explain how Richard was incorrect; instead, you simply stated that the employee was nice. Reviews like yours contribute to misleadingly higher ratings for businesses with inconsistent service. Also, numerous other reviews highlight similar concerns regarding the taping policy and the general unwillingness to assist customers. Larry B do better, and as for UPS, you should strive for more consistency and fairness.
Edit: Upon further reflection, it seems highly coincidental and unlikely that someone who was a customer in the store with Richard would see his review, and even respond to his review on the same day. This 100% raises concerns about UPS employees using fake accounts to boost its ratings and respond to real customer reviews. Customers beware!

This store is hands down top notch!!! I pick up print jobs multiple times a week for our clinic. Tasha is so friendly and helpful and my orders are always ready right away. She also helped me straighten out some billing issues with our account. I would recommend their team for any of your office needs.

Horrible. Every time I come in here I am treated AWFUL and feel like I got scammed. Never again. This place is an absolute disgrace to other UPS stores. Avoid at all costs.

HELLO, I AM WRITING ABOUT CORDELL. WHAT A MAN.
I AM 82 YEARS OLD AND GET A BIT CONFUSED SOMETIMES. I WENT TO YOUR LOCATION TO FAX SEVERAL PAPERS WHICH WERE FOR SERIOUS MEDICAL ISSUES WITH FAMILY. SOME WERE TWO SIDED AND CORDELL TOLD ME YOU CANNOT FAX TWO SIDED PAPERS BUT ASSURED ME HE WOULD GET IT DONE.
HE DID AND I WAS HAVING SOME CONFUSION ABOUT WHICH HAD BEEN SENT IF ALL. I TOLD HIM WHILE I LOOK OVER THE PAPERS TO TAKE CARE OF THE CUSTOMERS COMING IN WHILE I CHECK IT. HE ASKED IF I WAS SURE. I SAID YES. I KNEW IT WOULD TAKE ME A WHILE. CORDELL WAS SO PATIENT, CARING AND UNDERSTANDING ABOUT ALL THE CONFUSION I HAD.
WHILE HE WAS TAKING CARE OF THE OTHER CUSTOMERS, I SAW HOW KIND AND CARING HE WAS WITH EVERYONE HE IS SUCH A WONDERFUL KIND, EFFICIENT PERSON WORKING AT UPS . I HOPE YOU VALUE HIM AS A GREAT ASSET TO YOUR COMPANY . I WILL ALWAYS REMEMBER HIM.

This Round Lake store should not be taking returns if they don't want to deal with it. The girl working the front desk is very nasty to everyone. She said they can't print a label returned because of corporate policy. I called and that wasn't true, I'm sure they just didn't want to bother. I ship all the time not just returns, I won't ever use this store. Avoid it. Not worth the hassle.

Charged me to ship my Yeti to the HQ and it got lost and never found its way there. I had to contact the company and tell what what had happend. What a joke lmao.
