I've been working for abbot for around 7 months now but when I first started here they told us we had to do 7 pieces in 1 minute or 450 an hour and now they are asking for 16 a minute or 700 an hour! That is literally impossible, they are over working us and the team leads try to intimidate us , to our employers, others are to afraid to speak up about what's happening because they are afraid of being fired but there is only so much we can indure and it seems like there is literally nobody from abbot that cares enough to look after their employees or else they would check how everything is.?

You are supposed to wear proper equipment in the hubs at all times as part of CDC guidelines. However blue caps ( supervisors) do not wear gloves or wear their mask properly and put them down when speaking. This is covid test facility and such behavior is gross especially because they heavily enforce such rules on regular workers. I see this happen in Hub 5 night shift and when you ask them to wear the proper equipment they get mad. Doesn't seem fair and is highly disgusting. I hope someone sees this and does something about it. Blue caps think they can do whatever and the fact of the matter is you don't need a degree or experience for the positions anyway. That being said they need to be put In check because these covid tests are medical equipment and should be handled properly. Imagine costomers knowing that the people around these tests aren't being cleanly.

I really like working at Abbott. I'm thru hiregenics. Great people. They always respond immediately to any questions or concerns. My pay is great. Work goes by fast. They give you free lunch. My pay is right, my day goes by fast. All you have to do is your job... Period

Worked here for about two weeks. 6am shift. At first everyone was nice the first day. Second day there were two older ladies yelling at me about how to divide the bags to seal. Basic employees. The line lead didn’t say anything and I just walked away. His name is Ismael. I noticed that he’s the type of person to let others tell him what to do. Even though he’s in charge of those people on that line. They would tell him to move people if they were too slow or would talk to him with attitude and he would do what they wanted to. Was somewhat helpful and tried to make sure I was understanding the job but I do feel like favoritism was a factor there. & I will not work for that and put up with disrespectful people. They know they get away with it so continue to do it.

They up and fired everyone without warning RIGHT after memorial day. Its not the contractors fault (I worked through Volt and they were pretty good, even tried helping me find a new job right after) But i been there for about 7 months, working in Hub 5. not that any of it matters anymore, but the favoritism in hub 5 was just too much. A line lead was friends with one of the top people in the hub, and those two ladies treated everyone as if they were kids, chastising them like they were kids. and after they were done with that, youd be marked, both line lead and head of hub would make working here REALLY hard, constantly messing with you and moving you places you didnt really wanna go, not caring what you wanted and being very vocal about that. and if you tried moving out of hub 5 you'd "get lost in translation" and end up being fired. only one line lead actually cared about her job there, and everyone knew it, so the 2 spiteful line leads would make sure you wouldnt work in that line where you were treated fairly, they would move you into their line where they could micromanage you and talk mess about you to others standing LITERALLY a few feet from you.

Working at this plant for 1 month and thank God I left when I did seeing everyone getting laid off. One there is favoritism and leads that have 0 communication skills talking to people as if they are kids. I’m glad to say I have a job where I am treated with respect and considered a essential worker!

Mark my words it's long wait here for unloading also it's over-crowded so hard to get into a dock. One of drivers arrived 7:06 am in the Morning and checked out 7pm another driver spent here 9 hours for unloading.
