Did not file my mortgage correctly; omitted my wife's name on the title as well as supporting mortgage/lender documents, and did not correct it (the title) when promised.Cancelled my international wire transfers despite being routine, following a template, and submitting all required paperwork.Cannot get a hold of them on the phone.Mediocre at best.

Please be careful and consider alternatives before you entrust your money to ALECU! I sent multiple mails and never received a response. A professional bank may be a much better choice. UPDATE: finally, essentially instantly after posting this negative perspective I received a response. I have no choice and will make an attempt to get the support needed. I will upgrade this call little bit but I’m afraid it will never be a stellar score

ALEC is an excellent local CREDIT UNION. I deeply believe that everything they do is directed towards satisfaction of their members! I had a pleasure working at ALEC for 10 years and I can say this guys do their business in the most MEMBER focused manner! No games, No hidden fees, super easy process! Great place to work and great financial Institution to take care of financial business!

Appreciate the rate on my pickup, the professionalism of Denise Chesnick, and willingness to always help when I have a question or request. Denise is what every business and government agency should strive for in staff and is what makes doing business with ALEC a pleasure and not a hassle. In my opinion while I appreciate ALEC, staff like Denise is why I choose to do business there.

Quick, easy and friendly personal banking. The rates are very competitive. ALEC has a wide variety of investment options and a convenient mobile app. The personal bankers listen to what you want and offer excellent investment options. Have been banking at ALEC for 30+ years.

I have had an account here since 1991. I opened an account for my daughter when she was a child (She is 30 now). I remember ALEC telling me that as long as she had money in her account she was good (this was probably 10 years ago). Now I find out they charge an $18 fee per month on dormant accounts (no activity for 1 year per the representative is considered dormant) and "it could be negative" according to the representative on the phone. This is just wrong on so many levels. What happened to turning dormant accounts over to the State Treasurer? Anyway, after reading other reviews, it does seem like ALEC has jumped on the fee bandwagon like the big banks.

I'd like to recognize Christina Rizzio, a member service representative at ALEC, for being an A-player. I've worked with Christina over the years and her attention to detail, knowledge of the banking systems, enthusiastic demeanor, and putting the customer in the center, is what makes her an excellent personal banker. ALEC is fortunate to have someone like Christina on the front line.

Christina R. is an absolute saint! From being punctual, kind, and attentive.. She genuinely cares and shows attention to the details. She helped my boyfriend walk out with a much better understanding and relationship with car buying and financing. I could only hope everyone who has issues is fortunate to work with her

Alec is one of the best places to go banking. They are always ready to help. I have been with them since they opened and I never had a bad experience. The employees are kind and very helpful and friendly.
