The worse customer service. Seems like they don’t care or don’t know what they’re doing. Over 30 minutes to cashed a few checks

I went here today for advise on what to do about an online harasser who was buying things with my account. Chris Rama, the vice president, was very friendly and helpful. I’m sure that they don’t get a question like that all of the time. Thank you, Mr Rana.

Other customers have posted about bad attitudes of employees and service issues at the Chase Bank branch in Gurnee. Add me to that list. The branch put a narrow desk with slots for deposit and withdrawal slips right by a door for employees' use. There is more wall space to keep customers from having to step aside for staff going in and out of that door. However, rather than try to solve the problem, two staff members insisted that is the only available spot for that table in the whole branch. I had a need for a bathroom suddenly but was told there are no restrooms for public use. As it was almost closing time and because I needed to make my deposit today, I had to argue with the teller to get her to finish up. It turns out that the drive-through is open until 6 pm, But do you think she offered that suggestion? No. Instead, she got nasty stating she didn't have to finish the deposits if she didn't want to. It didn't matter that I was in pain and needed to get to a restroom.I was about to insist on talking to the branch manager but she did finish the deposit. We have several accounts with Chase. But the arrogant staffers want things totally their way..My read is that the employees are there only for their paychecks. I do not recommend banking at this branch.

I went hear to make a deposit. They asked for my ID, so I gave it to them. As I was driving home, I realized that I didn’t have it. I went back to the bank and said that I never got my ID. They looked and said that they didn’t have it. As I was driving home, not very happy and thinking that I would have to go to the DMV on Monday, I get a phone call. When I stopped to listen to it they said “ Hi this is Paul from chase. Someone dropped your I D off.” Then he gives me the hours that the bank is open. I’m surprised that it still is.

Tia is a very rude and condescending employee. I came in due to my card being locked and had to make a deposit from my checking to savings account. I also needed to make a transfer from my savings to my checking. Tia was very rude off the bat and was noticeably disappointed when she realize I didnt have my card & she was going to need to do “paperwork.” She made these transactions unnecessarily complex. I mentioned to her that I have my savings account hidden in my app & since the hide feature is disabled in the app at this time I did not feel comfortable displaying it to get my savings account number. I was here just a few days ago and whoever helped me was able to provide that for me. Tia was very condescending and rude she began pouting and asking what I am not understanding. She also said “I don’t know if you’re in a bad mood today” when she is in fact what made me upset by insinuating that I didn’t know what was going on. I then asked her for her name as her jacket was covering up her name tag. She completely ignored me so I asked for her name 3 more times with no answer. It was not until I asked to speak to her manager that she rudely said her name is on her name tag and there is no reason she would be hiding her name. I did not even get either of the transactions i wanted to get done. She just wasn’t interested in assisting me when she realized there would be additional steps on the process.

Please be wise and do not bank at Chase Bank in Gurnee IL. My father in law died June 4th before he could get to the lock box for the original will. We brought a copy from the lawyer who wrote the will stating his son is the executor and we are still denied entry to the lock box as deemed by their "legal department." We are in possession of both keys to the box. Dina the assistant bank branch manager should not be working with the public as often times people who have experienced loss need to interact with the bankers. Two months since Pa's death and we have been on this over a month with this bank. Our lawyer, Barbara Swanson of Gurnee said this Chase Bank is breaking Illinois laws. I am thankful we have a family owned bank, Oconee Federal, owned by the Evatts in South Carolina. What a difference in professionalism and decorum. Can't wait to get home and tell them how appreciative we are of them and their support to our community. FORGET CHASE!
