Horrible company. They repo your truck over $300, they charge late fees when you have talked to them and asked for a due date change, horrible customer service. Can't wait to see them bankrupt.

There are infinitely more and better options than using this credit union. Outsourced customer service is absolutely horrendous. Shitty technology for customers, and a seriously lack of basic amenities in modern online banking.

I’ve been a member for 35 years, I’ve watched this credit union expand, and it seems the more expands. It tends to lose service quality. A lot of the apps don’t work, they tend to have issues with Zelle deposits and transfers, their transfers from one account to another account doesn’t work, they’re calling service in Lake Forest Illinois is the worst, improperly, trained, assistant managers for the call center are improperly trained,, Their mortgage department when moved to New Jersey is horrible as well, again poor customer service. Being a long time customer I’ve had issues of money withdrawals without my authorization, due to poor training to new employees, why do I still do business with them, It’s because of the mortgage I have on my home. I’ve even tried reaching out to operating managers, trying to file a complaint, no one ever calls back from upper management, no one cares. I believe they need to be reported to the NCu, and their bar rating dropped and also need to be evaluated. I don’t know how for magazine can turn around and give such great ratings when they have not actually tested their customer service and their apps on their sites to see if they’re fully operational, I think that was a scam. With that being said, please do your due diligence and investing in any type of credit union these days, make sure that they really work for you, thanks for your time and try to have a great day.

I agree with other reviews. Absolutely horrible experiences trying to access my money. The fraud department declines my cc purchases when traveling (even with a travel notification) ALL THE TIME. It’s crazy to the point where I cannot access my own money. I’m moving my cash elsewhere. Stay away.

Decent rates on select Checking accounts and credit cards. Issues I have involve employees' repeated inability to solve issues and giving wrong info by phone and in one case, secure email messaging.Issue 1 in May 2023. Before I planned an $11k purchase at jewelry store (credit limit $25k), I called CCU multiple times the week before and put travel notes on credit card and told CCU the specific merchant and location where purchase would be made. Even sent a secure email to confirm all would be set up right. Repeatedly told all good. Get to jewelry store, tried purchase, declined. This embarassed me and gave jewelry store impression I did not have ability to pay. After close to an hour on the phone with CCU after decline, the 3rd party rep (on a Saturday) said daily limit was locked to $10k and there was nothing anyone could do for me. I ran $10k on CCU card and remaining on different card in my wallet. Paid balance in full by due date.Issue 2 in April 2024, tried to do external transfer to pay $4.8k credit card balance on due date using CCU app. Verified OTP. Denied due to daily limit. I've made many external CC payments with this card in the past 14 years from the exact same account, none returned unpaid, etc. I called CCU rep who said there was a $3k daily limit. I split payment in half and made it successfully. Other half of payment to process day after kept getting declined.Called CCU next day when denied again and told was $3k limit on external transfers not per day, but per 24 hours. Rep wouldn't raise my daily limit like I specifically asked for. Waited a few minutes until over 24 hours after my last payment, denied again. Called rep once again, and was told he would have a different department raise daily limit for me sometime the same business day and call me back, guess what? No one called me back or raised external transfers daily limit. Maybe CCU doesn't want my credit card payment.Seems reasonable to me to expect to pay a $4.8k credit card payment using an external transfer by the due date when credit limit is over 5x that payment amount. And I don't buy any fraud prevention excuses for my two unresolved problems above. I have been a Fraud Manager at a different FI for almost 20 years with multiple industry certifications. I believe I am much more competent in Fraud Prevention knowledge than any CCU employee on the payroll...Update-Monday Morning got a call back from a CCU rep confused about what debit card number needed an increase...Huh?After multiple calls and explanations, employees didn't even correctly describe my problem of needing external transfer limit being raised so I could pay credit card bill in full by due date...Unbelievable!

Zero stars, credit card info was stolen. Told me they we send me a new card in two days. Called 4 days later no card, told me it would be there tomorrow. Three days later no card! No I have bills going past due because they have lied and taken forever I’m getting me my new card.

I've been using Consumers COOP since 2000 not just for banking but for all my loans. I have never had an issue that couldn't be resolved with a simple phone call. They are always efficient and professional. No hidden fees and often the best loan rates.

There is zero customer service. My debit card was hacked, they were quick to cancel my card, but will not do anything about the fraudulent charge for 60 dsys. When I asked why 60 days I was told because that is how long they takes. This is the third time either I or my husband has had a questionable charge. The only thing they do is cancel your card. Changing banks is a hassle, but I just cannot continue with this no customer service hateful institution. It's a shame they are so disinterested in success.

This bank is horrible. I had a car loan with them over a year ago and when it was time for payment they reached out and ive always made my payments ontime. I thought they were a good bank up until I opened a credit card account.. its been over a year and I still haven’t received a single card in the mail I call and call over in over and gotta go through the same stupid questions process for nothing to get done. Customer service people sound like robots and not one time since ive been calling have anyone tried to go beyond to fix this issue always the same scripted response. Worse experience ever.
