Dancenter North has been a cornerstone of dance education in Lake County for 49 years, offering a wide variety of dance styles including ballet, jazz, tap, hip-hop, and more for students aged 2 to adult. The studio is known for its emphasis on technique and has a welcoming, supportive atmosphere. Families have enjoyed classes here for many years, often describing Dancenter North as a home away from home. The spacious new facility in Gurnee, with multiple studios and a comfortable lounge area, enhances the experience for students. Under the direction of a former Joffrey Ballet professional, the studio produces high-quality performances, including the acclaimed production of The Magic of the Nutcracker. Dancenter North is a place where dancers can thrive and grow under the guidance of skilled instructors.
We love DCN. Our daughter is in her second year, and has enjoyed her instructor immensely. She loves going and it’s really rewarding to see her grow in confidence and experience.

Wonderful place, quality instructors who really care about their students’ success. My daughter loves to go to her classes and enjoys spending time with her dance friends and she has so many of them at DCN. We recommend this dance school to everyone who’s child loves dance. Safe and nurturing environment.
