Large inventory in stock, very convenient location in Gurnee Mill. I have used this store since 2022, when I remodeled a house in Lake County. It's beneficial to have different inventories for various price levels, ranging from high-end to average. The service is excellent, with staff taking the time to explain the details to customers patiently. Many high-quality materials are available at extremely low prices when supply is limited. Because in a residential home remodel, most materials are one-time use and have no requirements for repeat purchase. I opened a customer account with them, and purchasing or returning becomes very easy.

Remodeling a bathroom was seemless thanks to top designer Sierra Blake! Her eye for design, color schemes and patience is astonishing. She educated me as a customer/home owner and I'm more confident thanks to her. Working with Markel, the store manager was also great. He informed me of their easy return policy when I purchased some tiles I didn't agree with...and he even loads orders for customers!! Q was also very knowledgeable in the design department making sure my color palate was on point.
Overall, if you are looking for hundreds of options with great price points, very knowledgeable staff, amazing customer service this if your first and only stop.

Update and addition:
Great experience at Floor and decor in gurnee mills. We are planning a shower renovation and our contractor strongly recommended this place for materials.
We have been there 6 times- on all occasions all the staff we interacted with (cashiers, folks on the phone, people restocking shelves, a designer , etc) were ALL friendly, knowledgeable and helpful. Even on a Saturday evening when I was returning samples- the two young men at the register were friendly and helpful. Most recently- the front end manager, Juana, was key in helping us with a very timely situation and could not have been more pleasant and helpful.
We have now had 3 extended appointments (tile and grout, hardwood floor and replacement tile/grout) with a designer named Sierra. She was an extremely good communicator: Listened carefully, asked good question, explained things well and was diplomatic in her suggestions. She was also patient and has a very good sense of aesthetics, color, construction methods and overall design.
Besides low stocking levels or long lead times on 2 items- we felt floor and decor in gurnee was a great asset to our project and I strongly recommend it.

Alfredo at the Gurnee Mills location was absolutely amazing. Very helpful in figuring out all I needed, loaded things quickly and got my on my way! I’ll be asking for him every time I go in as a Pro, I buy a lot of tile. Thank you!

Everyone here is an angel. Our daughter got hurt in the store (not the stores fault) everyone came rushing to our aid. The manager, staff, so many people to help us. The staff were also super kind and helpful with helping us pick out the best flooring. Really couldn’t say enough positive things about this store. You won’t be disappointed. Great flooring selection, amazing prices, and incredible staff. A huge thank you to everyone who helped us.
