Extremely disappointed. I was told I could use my military discount and quoted a price over the phone that included it. When I went to the store to order my contacts, I was told I could not use the discount and the sales person should not have given me that. Now - I am not responsible for how the store works. Sounds like a training issue potentially. But if you quote me a price, you should honor it. Trust me, it is not the money but the integrity of the issue. Honor your word.

I stopped in to For Eyes today to purchase glasses and sun glasses.In a time when customer service seems to be non-existent the store manager Jasmine showed me otherwise.She took her time with me through the exam portion through choosing the correct frames and lenses .She gave honest opinions and wasn't trying to upsell me through out the process.
Ot was a very pleasant experience.

I started with liking the service from Jasmine and Tiara on my first visit, even though the Dr did NOT do his job well at all. I had to retest and negotiate with the Dr, who is over 80 years old, for my prescription. I was very disappointed after the first visit but decided to stay because those 2 girls were working very hard trying to make things right. I always look at the brighter side of the situation and be supportive. So, I picked my reading glasses and driving glasses on that day.
When they messaged me to pick up my glasses, nobody remembered that I ordered 2 pairs of glasses: reading glasses and driving glasses. They only got the ready glasses ready.
After a few weeks waiting, I had to call and ask about my other pair of glasses…….
Long story short, it doesn’t matter what reasons they gave me, I got a message saying my glasses were ready 2+ months later.
Guess what, there were no glasses for me this time! Jasmine explained that the glass frame I picked was not available anymore. No explanation why did not tell me anytime earlier. But I checked other people’s reviews afterward and seems like this IS one of their consistent problems.
How Jasmine, the store manager, handles this issue is, to let me pick another frame. They will refund or charge me the difference depending on the new frame price. I was not happy at all. All this time efforts, hassles, and multiple trips to the store, (BYW, their store hours are not convenient for customers, not at all.) “it’s not your customer’s fault at all. The store masses things up. It’ll be reasonable to not charge customers if the new frame they pick happens to be a higher price.” ……… Eventually, she agreed. I picked another frame. It was not easy, because there were not many choices, even though they have a lot of frames, but those frames are very similar and nothing exciting. It took me more than one hour to find the frame I can accept.
I thought that would be the end of the story. NO. can you imagine what can go wrong? They switched the frame that I picked. YES, that’s what they did! I guess for the cost. The color on the inside of the frame legs is my least favorite. I wouldn’t have spent more than one hour picking the color I hate the most. And the frame is much heavier than what I had picked. Weight is my number one concern when I pick frames.
At this point, I just want to end this whole thing. I understand not to expect too much from a small business. A couple of days later, I called and asked for my prescription because the glasses are too heavy for me, and I must find another frame somewhere else. Jasmine said they can only fax over the prescription. I was waiting at my fax machine for quite a while, called a few times while waiting and was told they “have more than 10 faxes ahead of me”. I called the next day, Tiara answered me “sometimes the fax machine does not work, I will check with Jasmine later”. Called again, Jasemine insisted that she fax over to me 3 times. At the end she said to me “why not come to the store to pick it up?”
Anyways, hope my story can help people make their decisions when doing their eye glasses shopping.

Loved the trendy frames offered at this store. Shopped 2 other nationwide eyeglass shops first and found the best deal at FOR Eyes without even using insurance. Jasmine and Noelie made the whole process easy by giving me honest feedback about insurance and just how good their pricing is. Welcoming environment. Pulled the glasses I picked off the racks on the wall after me being back 2 weeks later!

I have been going to lenscrafters but then we moved to Gurnee and For Eyes was right down the street. Their prices are great and the staff at the counter are very personable. However, herein lies the issue, I ended up needing new lenses and I requested to have my old lenses back so that I could put them in an extra set of frames. But, when I go to pick up my new lenses and my old lenses I was informed that they never returned my old lenses even though the request was stated on the form that they mailed in to have the lenses made.
Fast forward, one of the women behind the counter stated that one of the other employees would be calling me back with information regarding my old lenses (which I forgot to add were only a year old). Needless to say I never got a call back so I decided to stop in where I was informed that one of the employees would talk to the regional manager and see what they could do. Apparently their resolution was to give me 50% off my next set of glasses.... BUT...... I don't want another set of glasses I want my original lenses back so I called the corporate office to try to get some resolution and they stated that they had to forward the information to the regional manager
So here we are it's been 10 days and the regional manager still hasn't called me back with any information regarding a different resolution.
I equate the scenario to somebody borrowing one of your tools and then not returning it and then saying we'll give you 50% off your next tool purchase.
Needless to say I feel like this company has stolen from me and their lack of communication about the issue is enough for me to be done with this company indefinitely.
Give me my old lenses back now!!!!

Went in with my prescription and explained that I will be moving soon and asked if I could possibly get glasses before my move.Tiara and Jasmine were amazing… doing their best to get them for me and also assuring me that in the event they do not come in, they will send them out to me. Tiara and Jasmine were also so helpful with frame choice and they knew everything about my insurance. I highly recommend them.

Never have I ever had such a great experience with my eyes!! Tiara couldn’t have been more helpful and knowledgeable while helping me from the pre tests, sitting with me while in the tele visit with the eye doctor to helping me practice my new contacts and making sure I felt comfortable every step of the way. I would recommend For Eyes with a consultation with tiara… amazing team member and person. Jazmine is wonderful as well and such a delight to see smiling faces when you walk in….And I LOVE my new glasses…. 5 stars all the way.

Really good exam, and excellent customer service. They found me the exact frames I wanted, and my insurance covered the frames and exam. I never expected to Highly Recommend a chain like this, but they are that good
