Purchased 2020 Sienna van from them. Asked before we purchased for some service records from the dealership. Because we kept calling dealership asking for the records they told us never to contact their dealership again. Also when we purchased van there was major corrision on battery terminal and they never fixed it before it left the dealership. The next day battery was dead because they did not check the charge of battery. Have talked to Jim several times and he will not relay message to the owner to call me back. I would give zero stars but it will not let me.

We have been taking our cars to Gillespie Ford for years and they have provided us with great service for all of ours cars. They are responsive and communicative during the entire process and get our cars repaired in a timely manner. I can only recommend them!

I've been working with Gillespie for years and they've only ever provided me with the best customer service and treated me like family. I am a young, hard working single mother and they always work with me and my schedule. Whenever I have the simplest problems with my car, they send somebody out to pick it up and give me a rental. My car is always finished in a timely manner. From cosmetic to mechanicals repairs, I live all the way in Franklin Park and will only go to Gillespie for my needs. Honest salesmen and all of the representatives and sweet, accommodating, and patient. They made my junky Jeep look brand new

I always come back to this location for Quicklane because I love the actual service as well as the positive interaction on the customer service side of things. I am always given a list of items and they are presented as recommendations and I am not pressured into doing any kind of additional service unless it is strongly recommended. The employees are great!Services: Brakes

This is a horribly greedy dealership. They bait you in with a price then try to add $20k in markup. The average markup nationwide is $10k for a Bronco. They want $20k. As consumers, we will punish these types of dealers once these crazy markups disappear. We won't forget their greed.

Horrible stealership with shady ethics. Ordered a popular car and waited 6 months for it to come in. Once it arrived the dealership refused to sell it to me unless I paid for add one that I never agreed to. They then told Ford I cancelled the sale to sell it at a markup to someone else. Luckily karma led me to a better vehicle and to a recall on the vehicle I had ordered through Gillespie. Bad enough to pull bait and switch and use customers to order cars knowing their intention is to take them over, but to then lie. It's pretty scummy but not surprising reading the other reviews.

I brought my car in for service a while ago. When I received my car, the car door was held open for me. Nice, right? Wrong, the next morning I went to get into my car and there was a huge dink in my trim on the driver door. I was leaving for a trip and unable to bring my car in for repair. Service told me, no problem, bring it in when you at your convenience and we will fix it. Wrong again, they said I left too much time in between my car getting damaged and I would have to pay for it. Spoke with the service manager, she simply shrugged her shoulders and said " it's Ford Gillespies policy" to let their promise to fix it expire. My experience in my last two visits left me never wanting to deal with them again. I do not recommend this dealership to anyone that does not want a damaged car. If I could give them a zero star, I would. And no thanks on the complimentary windshield washer fluid. I dumped it out. If I had seen it before I left, I would have thrown it back at them.

My cars alternator went bad. These idiots "changed the battery" didn't even think to atleast halfass wipe the dash to make it look fixed. I drive it home after a day wait and car died 2 miles down the road. Then they charge me even more. F*** this place

Came back on today because i believe great customer service-- even on an individual efforts should be recognized. And Kristi in service has been just that. Attentive with multiple calls today. Kudos. I gave an extra star because of her extra effort today. She also asked the questions, that if acted upon will make for a better customer service experience. I appreciate that response. So even if you don't see them comment on Yelp. They do act. Her empathy was appreciated. I don't understand how this dealership is still looking in business. Having said this-- when i bought my truck there it was a pretty straight forward experience. I had a truck they wanted used (Platinum) they had a truck i wanted new. Process was normal. And then came the service department. I have never had my truck there for less than three days. For a tire. For a recall. For a check engine light-- that came with a diagnostic read from Auto Zone-- who did it for free and in the moment. Now you might say-- well that happens. Then what is the purpose of making an appointment. This is not just during the post covid supply chain issues. I don't understand how you can have a vehicle dropped off at 730am and no one even looks at it... all day. 12 hours. If thats the case- don't accept appointments. Just say we are full. Additionally, when you promise a phone call iodate, it should not be the responsibility of the client to call you at 4pm, expecting to hear their truck is ready when it hasn't been seen yet. If it weren't under warranty i wouldn't bring my truck there. I have had significantly better service and follow ip from both Highland Park and Antioch ford. Locally, I'll stay at McClures because they have never not met a deadline. Most people can not afford to be without their car for 2-5 days for minor repairs. If thats the case, at a minimum a fleet vehicle Should be offered as a courtesy car.

I ordered a Ford Maverick in the fall of 2021. Without my order, it wouldn't have the truck. The salesman couldn't tell me the price, but I was clear from the start that I wouldn't order it if it were above MSRP. Shortly after I ordered it, I spoke with Chris on the phone who wouldn't commit to a price, but he did state the price wouldn't be above MSRP. That exchange didn't fill me with confidence. Now, nine months later, I'm told I can buy the vehicle for $34k, plus taxes, title, and doc fees. When I asked "MSRP?" I was told that was MSRP. Except MSRP was only $24k. I believe they then tried to trick me into saying I didn't want the vehicle so they could tell Ford I wasn't interested. I was and am interested. I would never recommend Gillespie Ford based on their apparent dishonest business practices. If you're interested in Ford vehicles, I would strongly suggest you do your research and find a more transparent dealership.

I was called by one of the sales people at Gillespie Ford named Lee. He told me that a Ford Maverick was in stock. He also told me that the MSRP window sticker price was $24,000. I made an almost 2 hour drive into the shop the very next morning only to find that this dealership was marking this truck up an extra $10,000. The truck only retails for $20,000 but yet they wanted to mark it up an extra $10,000. That is price gouging. I have reported this dealer to Ford motor company because that is ridiculous. I will also be reporting them to the state of Illinois for false advertisement sending me the price of the vehicle and then raising the price $10,000.They think nothing of their customers to do a bait and switch like that and have someone drive that far only to try and steal an extra $10,000 from them. They would never get my business. Beware of this dealership and it's unethical practices.

Thinking of where we're at with gas prices and electric vehicles, I've really been looking forward for the mustang mach E, its truly a phenomenal vehicle Orders have been delayed and they tell us to check the dealerships. This dealership had the exact model I was looking for in-stock. I looked at it on there website and it was listed at MSRP, the same price as my delayed order. I contacted this dealership and they told me that they're selling it $15,000 over MSRP. I contacted ford directly who told me they should NOT be selling over MSRP. I called back and spoke to a manager, I think his name was Jeff who told me "MSRP means nothing, and I can sell a car for whatever price I want" I clarified to him so you think up charging given all the production problems is ok and he said "Yes". I love the mustang Mach e and with the help of ford directly I will one day end up loving one. The problem is this dealership who does not value customer service during these tougher times. This is a dealership that I will not buy from or consider in the future. If friends or family ask me I will be completely upfront about this terrible experience

I don't write reviews very often, But in this situation I really feel obligated to warn other people that might look forward to a good experience while they purchase their new car. I actually have a background working in a working in the car business so usually I have empathy for the guys that are working in the same business business that I have worked in. But the experience that I had Monday night was really awful. I saw a Dodge Challenger that meets the specifications that I want send I want so I called up the dealership and ask to talk to talk to the used car manager. I did that because I have a car that I wanted to use as a trade in which was a very clean car with a Kelly blue book value at somewhere around Is 7000 trade in value and about $11000 retail. I just wanted to ask if I can get a pharaoh I can get a fair amount for my trade so that I could be in a better situation to finance the $40000 challenger challenger but I wanted to purchase that night. One of the sales people. Steve answered the phone and told me that he is a manager And promise me that he would help me get the maximum amount of money for my trade Which would be more than the usual wholesale trade and value that dealers usually offer 2 customers. I was Really shocked when I received the trade in value that the used car manager offered me offered me for my Mustang GT. They offered me $5000 what they did with Theis that with the crooked Deceptive techniques with they thought would work on me even though I told them I have a lot of experience in the car business. So the sales person Steve or wanna be manager Tells me that my cash difference Also includes an extra $2000 for some kind of wax protection package that they add on to the sale of every car is L of every car for every customer And then he also explained to me that there is a $1200 charge for a for preparation of of the use vehicle. So not only did he offered me a low trade amount but he also tried to add $3200 to the Internet sale price of the Dodge Challenger that I went to purchase. The Salesman Steve Went on to try to explain to me that the online price is just to deceive people and customers so that they can come in and visit the dealership and once they are there they have to add the $3200 worth of fees otherwise they would make no money in the car business because of the Internet not and how the dealers compete with each other. This man had the audacity to offer me this Deceptive false advertising also advertising over pricing pricing technique And then ask me to come back to his desk after I walked away in disgust. All I can say is this if you are considering purchasing a car tonibut you're seeing a car do not go to this dealership because you will probably have a worse experience since I told them I have experience in the car business and they still had the audacity to try these deceptive techniques in selling me the car. Try to read some reviews and do some research ask around before you choose the dealer you wanna purchase your car from that's my best advice and good luck with your car buying experience Buyer beware!
