Harold and Kumar should go somewhere else. I've had friends and family rave about white castle... But I was let down... The chicken rings were ok. But no to the burger and all the sauces. This particular one was hot inside like my face felt like it was melting at the table.

Come on its sliders.. always good.. service is always slow.. but so long as the sliders are good I'm good with then taking their time.. making good burgers takes time.. and iv always loved sliders.. BRING BACK THE SLOPPY JOE SANMICH.. THAT THING WAS REALLY GOOD...

I was treated dismissively at the Drive Thru by an employee by the name of Javier. He asked for my name several times, I even spelled it out for him. He then asked for my order. I don't memorize my orders, so I tried spelling my name for him again and he cut me off and asked for the order. I inevitably had to pull the order up on my phone for him to find it. When you hire incompetent and disrespectful employees like Javier, you not only lose sales but you also lose your credibility as a business. This is to be expected, you can upgrade your building but as long as the service is garbage the restaurant will be regarded as garbage. Did not expect to encounter such xenophobic nonsense today.

We went to this location for Valentine's day. The dine in area was closed for reservations. They decorated for valentine's and even adorned each table with a lit tea candle. Service was amazing! Hot crispy fries and sliders right off the griddle? Thank you so much for a great valentine's experience!

Super polite staff. Everything was served pipping hot. Onion rings where very crispy. Manager was quick to call her staff to attention when I needed something at the counter after already being served. Only constructive criticism; maybe up the table wipe downs after lunch rush.

I came here after a 5 hour drive to get some food. I ordered the #8 with 4 cheese sliders, 2 Jalapeño sliders, 2 impossible cheese slider and 2 impossible cheddar cheese sliders along with 2 fries and 2 drinks. After waiting for almost 25 minutes I noticed I was 4 sliders short (Found out it was my 4 impossible sliders) Instead of finding out which ones I was short I received 6 more cheese sliders. That's not what I was short to begin with. Now here it is 11:30pm and the are supposed to close at midnight and they are closed, while I'm still hungry. The price of the 4 impossible sliders were equivalent to 8 regular sliders. This is TOTALLY ridiculous. I will NEVER eat here again.

After today, Jan 2, 2024, my husband and I are done going to White Castle. We live nearby and have been loyal customers for several years. Initially, going to White Castle was a pleasure as the employees had great attitudes and the food was always fresh. I don't know what happened in mid 2023. The food quality has become inconsistent and so have the employees. Today was the last straw. I arrived at 8:09 pm, only to find the door locked - I don't drive throughs. The employee said to use the drive through, so I did. This isn't the first time the dining room has been locked. No sign, no explanation. I went through the drive through, placed and paid for my order, and then proceeded to wait. I was the only customer. My order was small: 7 original sliders and 2 breakfast sandwiches. The guy who waited on me disappeared. I could see no one, except the lone guy cleaning the dining room. I waited for at least 20 minutes. By now, there is a car behind me. The guy who waited on me reappears and hands me my order. My husband and I were disgusted by the food. It was obvious that the sliders weren't fresh by the quality of the patties. Why I had to wait for precooked sliders, I'll never know. Breakfast sandwiches don't take long to make either. The 1st breakfast sandwich was such a cheesy mess that I could barely get it out of the box. I was so turned off by the 1st one that I couldn't eat the 2nd one. We've overlooked food quality issues before, including bad ketchup that made my husband ill for a day in November. After that, I ordered his sliders sans ketchup and then requested packets of ketchup if we dined in or he uses our ketchup when eating at home. Some of the employees are wonderful. They make customers feel welcomed and go out of their way to ensure customers are happy with their meals. Then there's the employees who act like they're doing customers a favor by waiting on them. Food quality and disgruntled employees are two factors that turn me off. If I continually feel unwelcome in a place, I stop going. After tonight, as previously mentioned, we're done with White Castle in Gurnee.
