Illiniwek Forest Preserve is a great park right by the Mississippi River. It offers a little bit of everything, including clean and big tent spaces for camping, with sites close enough for nice riverview sunsets. It is family friendly with a nice playground. There are newly renovated public restrooms that are very clean, stocked, and offer hot water showers for those who rent a space. The picnic areas are clean and great for a picnic. Visitors enjoy the nice trails, though some find the daily directional route system somewhat confusing and weird. It is a favorite spot for fishing, with many catching good size fish.
Loved camping here! Very nice sites, campground is very neat and well kept. Sites are reasonably priced & sized. Quiet place nestled next to the river and bike trail. Definitely will stay here again!! 😊

Very nice park right across the street from the campground and river. Excellent hiking and mountain biking trails there are two very nice downhill sections with wood and metal burms .

Clean and big tent spaces, family friendly, newly renovated public restrooms, if you rent a space you’ll have access to restrooms with hot water showers, I always catch good size fish.
