Tony's Fresh Market is a family-owned grocery store serving Chicago and surrounding suburbs since 1979. Known for its wide selection of imported international products, it offers a variety of items from around the world, including major brands, natural, gluten-free, and organic products. The store features a bakery with fresh homemade pastries and bread, a deli with imported and domestic lunchmeats and cheeses, and departments for fresh produce and meats at low prices. Customers can also enjoy a hot food and salad bar with ready-made meals. While many shoppers appreciate the decent produce, friendly staff, and the convenience of finding almost everything needed in one place, there are some common concerns. Some reviews mention frequent mislabeling of prices, leading to higher charges at checkout, and advise customers to verify prices and request price matches when necessary. Availability of sale items can be inconsistent, with some noting that specific products like bacon are often out of stock during sales. The store's Streamwood location has been described as getting a bit seedy. Employees are praised for their helpful and friendly attitude, with staff members going above expectations despite some management shortcomings, especially regarding expiry dates on perishable items. Customers also mention that the store often has great soda sales and that the bakery offers giftable sweets. However, some find self-checkout machines frustrating due to their sensitivity and constant prompts. Overall, Tony's Fresh Market is valued for its variety, low prices, and helpful staff, though it faces challenges with stock consistency and pricing accuracy.
Overall a great destination for weekend grocery BUT most of the time my items are missing when I reach home and check with the bill. People at the bill counter can be a bit more careful about this because coming back again to the store for an item or two is really inconvenient.

Good prices when on sale. Recently, a lot of sale items aren't in stock. It's unfortunate to hear "we should have it tomorrow ". Another aggravation is you must buy multiple (5 -6) to get the sale price. The Streamwood location is getting a bit seedy too.

Shop here quite often and have been pleased. However, today's cashier (Terielle) was incredibly rude, texting while ringing up groceries and then just stared at me until I saw my total on screen. She never spoke or communicated with me, but did speak to another employee.
