As a travel nurse who utilizes RV parks while on assignment I would recommend five diamonds campground. I worked with Susie, and she was very helpful and kind. They provide year-round camping in a gravel lot. I can't say it's pretty to look at, but it is exactly what we needed filled with like individuals. This is a no-frills park, but what they do provide is easy access to St Louis without having to stay in the city, safety, adequate internet, pet friendly, and a hospitable front office with access to a camper service center with onsite propane. There was only one camper that we noticed that had children, but for us that's a plus working night shift.

The Lewis and Clark Confluence Tower offers a bird’s eye view of the campground.

It's a decently nice working person campground meaning if you are looking for a place to stay long term it's good

I'm on a travel assignment and have been here for a little over a year. I'll be leaving in a couple of weeks and wanted to say to the Five Diamond Campground, thank you for a wonderful stay!

What this place lacks in amenities, they make up for in personality. All of the staff are thoughtful, and you can tell that management cares about their clients. The location seems very secure and well-maintained as well. There’s plenty of grass around if you have dogs, and there is a historical state park adjacent if you want to walk for exercise.

This campground is a perfect location for sightseeing in St Louis and metro east area. Affordable with all the needed amenities. They are very accommodating with long term stays for those working in the area on short term basis. Easily accessible paved bike path directly behind the campground gives you stunning views of the river!

The ladies, Susie and Kim, have been amazing to work with. It is turnaround time and there are no openings in the area. We got out on the waiting list and I just so happen to answer my phone a few days later to secure a spot for the turnaround. Also, when I was traveling thru in my way to the west coast, I needed a place to store our sandpioer for a week until my spot out west opened up and Suzie worked with me and came up with a plan to help me out. This place is has full hookups, is clean and friendly management team. This is your basic RV park but has all one needs ! Thanks again 5 Diamonds!

This campground is mostly long term campers. It has full hookups. It is near a busy road but that didn’t bother us at all.

Talk about LOCATION. There is almost an unlimited amount of well kept mowed grass. Between 5 Diamond and the Tower (park with tables, shade and a garden!) gorgeous sunsets and an endless trail right behind the RV park!Has a side road infront of it with very little traffic.Stayed here for 1 month. Great location easy access to 270. Office always is staffed and my packages arrived with no issues. Got a text whenever I had a package for pickup at the office.Quick drive into Edwardsville for all your needs. Or Walmart and Aldi in Wood River. Some road noise during the day. And the train whistle can be repetitive. I just ran a fan.Wifi worked good for streaming our tv about every time I used it. (Every evening)Spot, electric, wifi and full hookups are included. Some pull through and some back in.No amenities. Port-a-potties were locked. Laundromat isn’t far and is good.

FHU. Just a gravel parking lot. No pool, no laundry. Parking spot #7 is not level. Convenient to Metro St. Louis area. Easy in and out. Inexpensive. Next to Confluence Tower, canal levee and bike trail

Newly opened Oct 2020, and great for working travelers. Not for kids at all. It's called a Campground but I disagree with this. Camping to me is not a large gravel parking lot. No other way to describe it.If yur active tho, great for walking, and if u have pets...Sits next to Lewis & Clark Confluence Tower, and the visitor center is just down the road, the levee walk path takes u right to it or u can drive there. The Levee is right behind RV sites. All paved pathway and my dogs love to run loose back and forth down the back-side while I walk. Well, as long as no one else is around that is. ?Great for bicycling to!I saw another review stating things like, "too expensive, not happy w/the place, no where to walk yur dog, no laundry facility, etc, etc...."$600 mnthly, all utilities paid is pretty standard.$175 wkly is as well. And while they don't have a shower house or laundry facilities "on site", Susie does offer a laundry "service". U can drop off dirty clothes and pick up clean ones. That's awesome for guys working long hrs.If u prefer to do yur own, there's a laundromat just down the road in the town of Woodriver. Maybe 5-10min away.Clean w/working machines that don't cost u arm & leg.Park IS nxt to noisy hwy (Rt 3) but...When AC or heat running I can barely hear any of it. Also it's a new park, gonna take a bit for those new trees to grow?.Now as far as another park being just down the road that include amenities for $100 less a month? Not sure where unless it's the KOA. Haven't been there, so may be true, but, it's a seasonal park and is only open April thru Oct.5 Diamonds is open all year round. Ya don't find that often in this area. And with that said...We're from the area but went full-time just under three yrs ago. This new park for us is actually really beneficial because we've had rough time finding decent place to stay while back in area for work. We usually end up in Mobile Home park. Not so fun.Places u stay are only what u make them, and remember that when u leave trash laying around, or have a pet u don't clean up after.Be a responsible guest!Other guests appreciate it as well as Susie, (Park manager).

I stayed here for 5 months while working and enjoyed my stay , very helpful and friendly staff. The campground itself is well kept and maintained, the area is quiet and i never experienced any issues . Id like to thank the ladies in the office especially for the text or calls when mail was in and providing good customer service??. I look forward to staying here again. Call

Loved it here. Stayed for 3 months last year before the gasoline guys filled the place up. Highways not too noisy. And the train only comes through every couple days. Will definitely look forward to staying again.

Super accommodating with us. We were there for work and with what we do for work we don't know how long we will be there for. They were very understanding of that which was very refreshing for us. All gravel sites but decently level. We did have probably the worse site there but worked for what we needed. If we are ever back there for work I would stay there again without question
