I purchased an in expensive watch a couple days ago, and noticed it wasn't keeping time. This afternoon I went in to the Walmart in Harvard to exchange it, for one that hopefully did work. The lady at the service counter refused to exchange it without the original box even tho she could have kept the box for the new one.. So I went home dug through two bags of garbage, found the box and returned to the store this evening intending to make other purchases,as well as exchange the watch. Went to the customer service counter at approximately 930 pm. Spoke with the same lady who helped me earlier. She smiled, and said the customer service is closed at 800 pm You'll have to come back again. Wait, The store is open until 1100 pm, but you won't serve your customers after 800 pm if they have an issue? The same lady, obviously capable of walking behind the counter and performing the exchange earlier, instead sends the customer away again, unsatisfied with inoperable merchandise you sold them? After returning to comply with your exchange conditions. Well I tossed the watch in the trash can, said "Have a nice evening" to the smiling ladies and left. An abysmal example of customer service, which cost them not only the purchase of a laptop that I had intended to make, but I will avoid that store like the plague. I looked at my bank statements to determine, that I spent on average approximately $ 1,200.00 dollars a month there. No more! I doubt they care, but I do!

Most of the time the checkers are pleasant enough but yesterday was a totally different story. The young man, Corey, was more interested in chit-chatting (or trying to) with other employees. His remarks were insulting. Maybe the training should include the words "This is not your playground. We call this work for a reason". If you don't show an interest in your customers you need to be in a different business.

The worst Walmart in Northern Illinois. It's also unsafe with all kinds of scary looking people in the store. Not stocked, dirty, and service is the worst. No way stay away

Not all Walmart's are created equal. This Walmart is clean, well stocked, with polite staff. Decided to have a make your own Italian Beef evening and was able to get everything I needed without the drama of most Walmart's. Turned out to be a great night with friends swimming, campfire, and food !
