βI like everything about this meat market. Except lately in my chicken wings bags I'm finding really tiny wings. They look like the wings could be from a different kind of bird. i hope I'm wrong. Take those out of stock please. It's disturbing for me to find those in my chicken bags. It makes me not want to come back their and shop.β

βAldi is a great place to shop they have so many items to choose from at great prices. Aldi fruits and veggies are very good. Also the Employee's are very polite, helpful and friendly ?β
βGood selection of fresh produce, meats, organic grocery items, and healthy options overall. There is a section with items that are "here today, gone tomorrow" that I feel always has some items worth checking out, whether seasonal or going out of stock.
I usually bring my reusable bag and put my items in there, but if I forget it I can usually find an empty box on the shelf or in one of their carts that I can use to put my items in to save on plastic waste and buying a bag from them. Super convenient and great for the environment.
Good selection of meats and fruit, especially if you want something locally grow. Prices fluctuate but they seem reasonable to me in comparison for the quality of items you're getting.
I will say the self checkouts rolling out at many of the Aldi's are game changers. Otherwise, the lines can get pretty ridiculous and, besides holidays, I don't think I've ever seen more than two lanes open at a time at ANY Aldi from Illinois to Indiana. Other than that, I love going to Aldi for the prices, quality of ingredients, and the "here today, gone tomorrow" section!!!
P.S. there is a section in most Aldi locations with items from gardening to shoes to blankets to coloring books. Great finds in there too!!!β
βI go here almost every week because of my big family, though I can definitely tell you they will always and I mean ALWAYS have an amazing sale, not like the other stores where they have a sale on something no one wants, and something about this location specifically, if a line gets really really long, no one even has to ask, someone WILL come and OPEN ANOTHER LINE, and if you dont find what you need there, they WILL have it tomorrow, everyone is very professional there and sometimes they might even joke with you and have a nice conversation, if you want to get what you need and maybe have a good laugh, come here!β

βReasonable prices, great product! I have raised my family on Aldi and have shopped Aldi for over 45 years! I would recommend it. Aldi has organic choices with no antibiotic meats. The produce is good. The bargan aisles have very cool finds. Stay out if those aisles if you are on a budget.β

βI used to go to the one off Cicero because I'm literally around the corner, but I've found myself preferring making the minor detour as the staff is just more approachable at times I guess? They also seem to carry more rare finds, or keep the things I purchase frequently in stock. It's also much easier to get out of as there are multiple exits and traffic lights to keep traffic flowing all directions.β
βFresh produce always stocked and reasonably prices for what you get. Organic options!!! Always love to see a healthy salad bar. And the homemade bread and cheese popcorn slaps.β
βPretty clean. Easy to find what I went there for, Cookies! They also had a very thick glaze on top of cinnamon rolls, so I picked those up as well. Only disappointing item was the off-brand Ho Ho's, very very small in comparison to any others.β
βALDI is easily one of my favorite places to shop. The prices are unbeatable, and the quality of their organic products, fresh produce, and meats is fantastic. I love how fast and efficient the checkout process is, and the 'ALDI Finds' aisle always has something fun and unexpected. It makes grocery shopping quick, affordable, and actually enjoyable.β
βEven though Some things can be far and higher than most of your food store. S the selection is beyond compare, especially with produce, it is a fantastic store. It has a fantastic Delhi meat department has everything you can imagine carries just about every single brand their sales are really, really good and they have hot food there too, like 2 or 3 different sections of hot food. I've never had to have a complaint about the place.Very super clean , it would be amazed at how much they have there and how good everything isβ

βActually, Aldi's is a good store. They have some good meats, fruits, and vegetables. They even have a very small selection of gluten free products. The only thing they need more of is gluten free products for those of us that have gluten sensitivities like myself.β
βI have been coming to various Pete's Fresh locations for years. It's locally owned and operated. A large percentage of the prices are somewhat high. The produce quality is excellent, as are the deli items and meat departments. The self-serve hot and cold buffets are CLEAN, well above average, with a good variety of fresh recipes (Latino and American cuisines), and competitively priced. Their website couponing is, like with many supermarkets, poorly designed, cumbersome to use, and frankly, stupid and pointless. Don't give me excuses like that 'it provides customer shopping/market feedback and target marketing'! Simply lower the prices or make the couponing less complicated to use and more user-friendly with the reduced maintenance costs! If management wants that market feedback, just analyze computer data recorded by the cash register/checkout system! Hello? I have, by and large, found the employees to be polite and helpful. Lastly, and to reiterate, I like the fact that the chain is locally owned and operated.β

βI love shopping here. There is a large variety of fruits and vegetables. Meat is reasonably priced. You need to bring a quarter to rent a cart and bring your own bagsβ
βJan 21 2026 update - This location was recently remodeled. 4/6 times that I've gone since the remodel, all six rows of carts have been jammed/stuck together. Other shoppers were also trying to get carts, including strong men who were unable. I've told an employee each time. Today an employee told me it's because of new & different size carts being used and pushed together. I love Aldi but will have to shop at a different location until they get this straightened out because I can't do all of my shopping without a cart.
But on the positive side of the remodel - it is now bigger, the aisles seem to be wider, and it seems like there are more aisles. There is now an entrance that leads directly outside. There are three rows of cart returns on either side of the doors. You bag groceries along the windows which is nice. This location does not have self checkout. Aldi retains many of the same friendly and competent employees.
I've read some negative reviews regarding fruits and veggies and other items. I've been going to this Aldi since it opened. I continue to find fresh, delicious, and unmoldy fruits like blackberries, blueberries, raspberries, green and red grapes, tomatoes, strawberries, apples, pears, bananas, watermelon, cantaloupes, avocados. I find fresh cilantro, onions, potatoes. This is where we do about 97% of our grocery shopping. I think one time I bought a bad watermelon. But that happens anywhere. Off the top of my head, the only things that I buy at other places are deli meats, diet pop, low carb items, stuff like that.
Original review - This location is a medium-sized Aldi. So this Aldi does not have as great as a selection as the larger Aldis. The store entrance is pretty close to the mall entrance. And even though there are parking spaces marked for Aldi customers parking can still be a pain when the mall is busy. A family member who has a handicap placard does not like to go to this location because it is hard to find handicap parking. However, that family member does like that there are Aldi shopping carts available outside of the mall that she can quickly grab to hold on to.β
βAldi's is a really nice store. I love the "so called secret isle". I have been shopping in that area in the store for years. Seems like any parking space is far from the front door, only criticism.β
βMy only disappointment is that, while almost all employees are friendly and helpful, those posted at the entries are totally self absorbed. I'm rarely greeted or acknowledged.β
βI only come to Fairplay for the sales and It's usually well stocked. Went there for the so-called sale on oxtails. Asked a (butcher?) if they were trimmed down too much. The reply was "They have to get trimmed sweetheart." First, I hate when a condescending tone is aimed at me. Second, when too much fat is trimmed from oxtails, the cooking method is altered to insure tenderness. Lastly, whatever happened to real butchers? Not just people who work in the meat department.β

βOne of my favorite neighborhood grocery stores. They all ways have what I want and need for a affordable price. The fruit and vegetables are always fully stocked and fresh. The tempting protein prices are always competitive. The assortment of prepackaged homemade turkey sausages are excellent on the grill. Aww..... and they also have frozen Turkey tips!!! NICE ??β
