Perry, the Store Manager, at the Harwood Heights location is very kind and eager to help! At move in, he showed me where my units were in the maze setup they had. Perry was very thorough with walking me through the steps of driving in, information about where to get cards and their hours. Highly recommend going here because of the customer service.

I was new to Extra Space Storage, but the experience was truly impressive. The staff member did an excellent job of not only explaining the services available but also giving me a thorough tour of the facility. His enthusiasm and knowledge made me feel welcome and confident about my storage choices.

Rented my unit with Nick who was very non-customer oriented in this customer service role. I desperately needed a space as I had/have been fleeing a domestic situation where the stalking includes the hacking of my phone and tracking and monitoring of everything on it including the same for all my contacts. I was able to get the storage space covered and then he walked me about a mile down to the space! Whoa, what a surprise and not so exciting continual journey when picking up and dropping off items.
In the midst of my personal domestic dilemma, Perry, the manager acted as a support saying that if I needed to stay overnight for a week to be safe from the man in this estranged marriage that has been trying to sabotage my life that I could. For some of that time, I took him up on that offer. When I got settled shortly after, there was a closer ExtraSpace/LifeStorage that I thought would be a safe place for the remaining items I still have that this so-called husband didn't take away from me. I was also able to rebuild my professional wardrobe and I didn't need that to be stolen again either. Guess what??? PERRY put a note to my name that I was overnight there and not to rent to me. That note hits all of their locations. So I guess he agrees that women in domestic situations should not find any safety and security in the city of Chicago, and I guess that also applies nationwide too. Thanks Perry!! What a joke.
I really don't think their corporate team would agree and vouch for their poor judgment for a woman, a paying loyal customer, trying to navigate security and safety in a violent and sabotaging domestic situation. Definitely don't think that their corporate team would agree. Maybe this should hit social media so we can find out.
