We love Hawthorn Gardens & the joy it brings my 14 year old daughter and I shopping here. It's our happy place. Unfortunately tonight when I was checking out at approximately 4:30 PM, it was not. I had a smaller head in hands pot with a beautiful flowering cactus I set inside. A gift I was picking out. The worker helping the cashier said in a very terse tone, "did you take this outside?!?" She was referring to the flowering cactus I assume, I said briefly to look at the Christmas planters. I regret responding at all. Her response, "shame on you!!!!!!" And that was all she said... It was so awful. The cashier let me know for future I can set plants aside. I thanked her and said, "that is good to know, so if I ever come back I will not be shamed."

Excellent source for indoor gardening and more. Huge variety of plants. Their display s are lovely with lots of ideas for decorating. If you love cactus, and I do, this is the place for you. Their succulent selection is outstanding!

Gorgeous flowers and friendly staff! Came here as a kid and haven't been back as an adult but glad I checked it out for my fall planters. Great selection and all seemed quality. Will be back!

Love this place. the layout is awesome, and I love looking at everything they have. I always come here to get spicy birdseed. They have beautiful flowers there and the staff there is super helpful. I am personally not a gardener but like to get hanging plants every year, and they have been so great with educating me on what I can use based on where I hang my plants. Highly recommend

Excellent place for selection of native flowers. The staff is very knowledgeable. They also have wide selection of koi pond products and decor.

I used a gift card on a hanging plant, I love it! So lush and full. It was enjoyable to browse all of their displays and plants. The staff was friendly and helpful. I will be back!

Amazing employees, they guide you through everything you need to know and are very knowledgeable. Although it was on the pricier side you get what you pay for because all of the plants look superb and I've never seen a better more diverse selection. We came to buy white hydrangeas since we couldn't find them anywhere else and they had at least ten different types.

Great, wide selection. The staff are wonderful, and helpful. I was able to get lots of tips from what fertilizer to use, recommendation for compost and what shrubs were able to work best with the amount of sun I get around my house. Love this place!!

This is a great place for your gardening needs. Friendly and helpful staff as well. I went there asking about invasive plants in my garden. One of the managers walked me thru all the sample plants I brought, pointing out which were good, which were bad, and how to get rid of them. Did I mention the excellent selection of plants and decor as well?

This place was awesome. Staff was extremely friendly and welcoming. We really liked how they take the time to work with you. We will definitely be back again. Excellent selection as well.
