I cannot say enough about Balhan Auto Care! I wish there were more stars to give. We’ve been bringing all of our automotive needs to Balhan’s for 30+ years and every repair has been quick, honest, and quality! Matt is professional, friendly, thorough, and honest. Once again, I cannot express my appreciation for Matt Balhan!

Beware of dishonest people dressed in honest clothing.... Trusted this mechanic for the last few years. They were my "Goto" guys when I didn't feel like doing repairs myself but recently I sent the wife there to have them tighten a strut mount they installed last year by THEM and instead was told it was a broken brake caliper which was a lie. When our car started making this clunking noise emanating from the upper passenger side rear seat just below the top of the seat checked the bearings then removed the wheel and checked the calipers, pads, sway bar, links, struts etc and noticed the loose strut mount at the top and since they installed them I told the wife to return to have them retightened. Simple enough, right? A few hours later we're told it wasn't a strut mount but instead a broken brake caliper now mind you this particular caliper was a year or so old (Rockauto) but was installed BY THEM and they didn't say it was seized but actually BROKEN and leaking that's what was making the noise from the upper rear seat area not from down below (Another lie - Our garage is immaculate and our car has zero leaks) so with the caliper still being under warrantee I requested it back and was told they sent it back for a core exchange BUT you can't send broken cast iron calipers for core exchanges because they can't refurbished if the cast iron is broken... Another lie. Balhan chose to lose a family of loyal customers over $350 plus dollars. What I assumed was a decent trustworthy neighborhood mechanic turned out to be just like all the rest simply out to beat whomever they can... Never again.Services: Oil change

This USED to be my go to mechanic shop when I didn't feel like tackling a job myself. Even had a 5 star review right here on Yelp. Trusted them so that I sent my wife and daughter here as well but it seems I was wrong on many levels. Recently my wife's car started making a clunking noise from the rear passenger just below the top of the seat where the top of the rear strut is mounted to the frame so I do the usual checks jack it up, tug on the wheel to check the bearing, then move on the checking sway bars, stabilizer link, arms, strut mount, broken brake pads/calipers etc. I found the strut mount at the top was loose and simply needed tightening so I told the wife to run it up to Balhan since they installed them to begin with. A quick strut mount tightening turned into "Oh yea, your brake caliper was broken" Which is weird to me because I check it thoroughly not to mention that caliper was a year or so new and THEY installed it. And I don't mean seized up he said broken and that's what was making this clunking noise emanating from behind your shoulder in the rear passenger seat. So with the caliper being new and still under warrantee I requested it back and was told they sent it for a core exchange. A broken cast iron brake caliper? How is that possible? The cast iron can't be refurbished... LIES. Balhan knew all that was needed was to tighten the strut mount instead they figured $350 plus dollars was worth losing a family of loyal customers. The search continues for an honest neighborhood mechanic and please beware of common cheats dressed in honest clothing.
