In March, I was going to work an agency shift as an nurse but had to call off. I called off at 7:59 pm the night before my 6a shift. They then marked it as a no-call no-show, which is illegal since I have proof that I did call in. ShiftKey management has been notified and so has the labor board.

Picked my mother-in-law up to take her home. The facility smelled of urine. My MIL’s room was a horrid sight! Bloody tissues on the floor and in the trash can. Some dark substance spilled and dried on the floor, in front of her bed. My MIL had a feeding tube, so I’m unsure what it would have been. Went to load her into my car and she was soaked with urine! As we walked down the hall, patients could be heard hollering. No CNA down that hall while we were there.

Just got here. Seems only a few care. David for one. Nurses arm. That's all. If I could go some where else I'd go. Disappointed so far...

ATTENTION ALL MY CNA/NURSING FRIENDSI was recently told I can not go BACK TO WORK till I get a doctor's release for my shoulder. They knew about my restrictions and was completely okey with it untill I filed a report about how a resident was being treated. We had a resident that came over from a sister facility and this is the stuff I ran into. He had been in the same pull up for 3 days! And he was cognitive enough to tell me he hasn't had a shower in 3 months due to short staffing!!. He had sat in urin and feces for god knows how long! Even filled the pad that he sat on in his wheelchair so full that when I leaned it on its side to take it to the trash and get him a new one iron was streaming out of it. I finished up with giveing him a shower and while wipeinf him off all his toenails started falling off! There was so much dead skin off his body that it took me 3 towles to get him clean!! This right here is neglect!!! And this is why I left the nursing field a year ago. I speak up for the resident and they find a way to get me on doctors leave. Completely rediculous!!!! It is MY license if a resident is veing neglecred and i dont report it yet it is my JOB if i report it and stick up for the resident. That is a sacrifice id be willing to take.....This is integrity of herrin. So for any loved ones that you may have there id suggest you remove them. I will be forwarding this to the news media!!
