I came in for recommendation for a tinted moisturizer. After waiting about 20 minutes for someone to acknowledge my presence, a Jane iredale rep took it upon himself to give me full “makover” which made me look at least 10 yrs older. He kept referring to me being an “older” woman- however being in my 40’s I took offense to this. I understand they are trying to sell products but when you ask for 1 thing you should not receive over $600 worth of product recommendations. I definitely will not be returning to this location.

Ricki Zabrin in Highland Park is the best! She always has a smile on her face and is willing to help and address any questions or concerns I may have. Ricki is honest and takes her time explaining the different products, benefits, etc. She is extremely knowledgeable and passionate about her work. I would be lost without her.

The overall demeanor of the staff is rude. I recently made a stop in here (only needed one item). In the 45 minutes I waited to check out, I watched two people put items down and leave. Clearly annoyed. After I checked out, I overheard the woman behind me comment about this and the wait time. She wasn’t wrong/rude by any means: however, the reply to her was rather abrupt.Mind you, this was the middle of the day. There was only one employee working. BUT, this employee dedicated nearly an hour to helping ONE customer (someone she clearly knew), and never acknowledged the people walking in (subsequently, walking out).Additionally, I watched another employee (I recognized) sampling skincare and makeup items. She was there with a friend, and clearly on not working: however, it just didn’t bode well given the bigger picture (added to the overall disinterested feeling environment). It’s a shame: I’ve been shopping here for over 10 years. The former employees were beyond amazing. Honestly, I don’t see this location working in the long run. Not unless they clean house on staff.

I came into this store with my daughter to purchase a moisturizer that she knew she liked. I was immediately approached by Rachel with a La Mer sales pitch for her and when I kindly declined she continued to persist with purchasing from this higher end line. When we told her we just wanted some time to look around she gave us attitude. As we continued to browse, there were numerous negative comments in response to our questions/inquiries. As we left the store, I was unable to locate my wallet and her response when we returned was “you never took your wallet out because you didn’t buy anything” I was aghast at her comment. Her level of professionalism is incredibly poor and she is driven solely by commission and lacks insight of the needs of the customer. I won’t be shopping here again, nor will I recommend it.

The manager should not be working with the public. I came in for a specific product and she sold me a product that wasn’t the right one. I looked at the package and asked if she was sure this was the right product. She wouldn’t let me look at the package to make sure it was the correct item. The store had no other customers so there wasn’t a rush. The manager was not friendly or helpful. This was not the first time I have dealt with her. In the past I make sure not to work with her because she is rude and abrasive. Next time I’ll just walk out if she is the only one working. Not worth having to go back and change out the product I bought for the right one.

I would give this store 4 stars if the person named Rachel wasn’t working there. She’s unpleasant, rude, and condescending. She made me feel as If I couldn’t afford the products I was looking at. I would honestly just steer clear from this location simply for that reason and go to one of their neighboring locations, don’t give them the commission and sales.

Scheduled a facial there. It was packed busy full of people getting makeup applied, no one to point me where to go. I found my way to a sign in the back that indicated that's where I was supposed to go for the facial. The facial was so-so, just too much pushing of product throughout and making you feel guilty, like at the dentist's office for not flossing, when you do! She left the room for 10 minutes (after putting something over my mouth - it was like being suffocated and left in the backroom by having your mouth covered and left half naked on a table in an unsecured area!) She was sweet but overall the experience was mediocre at best and she seemed inexperienced. I wasn't expecting the best facial, but thought the location would be convenient at least and I was supporting a local business. But after the so-so facial, I wanted to pay and just leave. Apparently, they eliminated a formal checkout counter, WTF?!? This in practice means you have to guess who might work there out of the 10 people wearing black and all with their backs turned and don't want to help you as you have to interrupt them from their sales with other customers. That's just stupid, right? What if I was shopping and just wanted one specific product? Sometimes you don't want to talk to the salespeople. You have no choice but to stand around and hope someone will take pity on you. (Or leave with a free facial, they wouldn't have noticed!) Why are you making me work to give you money? No receipt of any kind was offered, so who knows what she actually charged my card. Who runs a business this way? Go elsewhere and save your money, time, and the aggravation.

As soon as I entered the store sale rep sticked onto my head. They were so snobby, i guess i had to show them $100 bills in order to prove i can shop there. I was so uncomfortable, she dint let me shop comfortably or let me breathe. Worst shopping experience of my life, i would never recommend going to this store to anybody. Rather shop online.

I always love the staff and the atmosphere, but it is a little frustrating that there are several lines on the website that are not in the store. I guess that is the digital age we live in though... Overall, love this and all of the stores!

I'm a big Blue Mercury fan. Between their selection and product knowledge, they are my go to for my skin care needs. With the way things are going, I decided to reorder my favorite products online and try something new. The more I researched, I figured out one of the items I purchased wouldn't be good for my skin type. I drove to a location I typically don't visit (30mins away) to make my return. Right away, I was told "I'm alone you need to wait". Not a problem. I walked in with my son, and as we know, little boys aren't very patient. It was finally our turn to make a return. The woman made a big stink about it "online items have to be called it, we will be on the phone for 20mins just on hold- you could have done this yourself at home...". I was basically speechless. I explained that on my receipt it clearly stated that I can either mail it in or return to the store. Since this was an expensive item, I preferred to just return into the store. She basically rolled her eyes at me and said, "we can do it, but it's going to take a long time - I'm going to take the next person in line and then I'll get back to you...". I was blown away- I patiently waited for my turn, why do I need to continue waiting for her to help someone else..?! Well, then it was finally my turn. She walked over to the phone continuing to make a big stink over how online and in-store are considered two different entities and in the future I should just call the store to place my order. As soon as she made the phone call, someone answered and my return was done within seconds. Not sure why she was being so dramatic, nor ruined my experience. I guess this is why people shop online, to avoid such things from happening. I felt like I was inconveniencing her.

This store has found a way to help it's clients during this time of Covid in a very personal way. Management cares and the staff is eager to help, thank you for your care!
