CVS had a delivery service "Muti-Dose," sending meds in plastic packs. I used that for years. Sometimes orders were late, meds were missing, or really fun... adding a med I was never supposed to take. Dangerous. So CVS shut the embattled multi-dose down forever. They were supposed to transfer my scripts to Walgreens, never did. Best of all, while reviewing my meds with Walgreens, I discovered my cholesterol medicine wasn't included in my CVS refills for the LAST SIX WEEKS. "Oh geez we're sorry,' they offered. I guess they got a little sloppy while closing their Highland Park pharmacy. Isn't that a dangerous slip-up? My Dr. was rather pissed. So my actual rating for CVS is -5, but Yelp has yet to expand their rating dynamic. CANNOT RECOMMEND CVS. Be careful if you use them.

I have never left a review on Yelp, but my experience at this CVS was awful enough to demand one. Note that this review is for the pharmacy at 1539 Clavey Road in Highland Park only; it does not apply to the store nor does it apply to the Minute Clinic. Pharmacy employees at this location are unspeakably atrocious. They are rude, brusque, impolite, and unprofessional. And I stress that this is a pattern. I won't go into all of the details of my interaction with the pharmacy today--to do nothing but retrieve two medications filled earlier in the week--but I will say that I will never set foot in this store again, ever, for any reason. I am aware that pharmacy employees are under pressure and have been involved (whether here or elsewhere) in labor strife. That is not an excuse to treat customers of the store outrageously. If a pharmacist or a pharmacy tech cannot deal with the public in a pleasant, efficient, professional manner, or speak to customers with simple professionalism--even if the counter area is loud because the drive-thru was inexplicably closed--that person should find a new kind of employment. (Target in Highland Park offers a starting wage to stockists and cashiers that would be competitive with the scale offered by CVS to pharmacy techs.) I'll be crystal clear: I do not expect a CVS pharmacy to provide me with the highlight of my day. I do expect to be talked to kindly and certainly without contempt. I do not expect to be called names. I do not expect to be threatened with a call to the police. (For what, exactly?) My suggestion is that you have your prescriptions filled at another CVS store (there is at least one other pharmacy in Highland Park), or better still, at another pharmacy chain in the area. There are several others whose employees are not a disgrace to themselves or to their employer.

After waiting in the drive up for 20 minutes with only one car ahead of me, I pulled up and then waited another 10 min. I understand things can get busy, but the man who then came to the window was so rude, didn’t acknowledge me at all and just stared at me looking annoyed. Awwwkward. So I politely gave him my name, he rolled his eyes ( i never knew my name was that annoying) and got my prescription. He opened the drawer without telling me the price, soooo I asked him the price, paid, and then he gave me the prescription without a word. I said “ thanks!” and got outta there. What a ray of sunshine. Walgreens is looking good for my next prescription.

Had to pick up a few things before a last minute medical procedure. Always a great place to get last minute items. While they don't have everything Walgreens has, they have a lot. It's nice they are open 24 hrs.

Just spoke to the on duty pharmacist. Without any reason, he’s angry, condescending, unprofessional and apparently uninformed. My advice is run away from this CVS.

Feel really bad for the people that work here. Pharmacy seems chronically understaffed, and you wait in-line forever. The pharmacy drive thru is woefully slow. I wouldn’t recommend this location to anyone. Really wish CVS would step it up.

My daughter it’s so sick she just went to the minute clinic and the Doctor ??⚕️ was so rude she don’t care about my poor daughter who is in terrible pain in her throat and is swelling. How come she became a Doctor if she don’t like her job , she don’t even care about a patient. My daughter now has to go to spend more time and money to get the right attention, so bad to have a rude unprofessional Doctor there , hopefully ? people stay away from this location. So sad too because Highland Park is a great community and needs a professional help all the time .

Needed a antibiotic for my kid. Walgreens did not have in stock. Matt was very patient and spent over 40 minutes on hold to get the transfer CVS. Was very disappointed that Downtown Deerfield Walgreens kept CVS on hold for such an extended length of time for a medicine Walgreens was out of stock. Walgreens lost all my business tonight.

Absolutely the rudest group of people I’ve ever encountered. I went up to the pharmacy to get advice about Covid testing and the woman told me not to worry if I didn’t have any symptoms, I didn’t need to be tested and dismissed me. Then I asked the pharmacist directly, and he didn’t want to answer my question about the best way to test and then I asked an Employee to help me find the Covid test and he told me to ask the pharmacist who had already dismissed me. Horrible, terrible location. Go anywhere but this place!!

This is the worst pharmacy I have ever seen in my entire life. They don't care if you die. I totally miss Walgreens. What stupid insurance will compel you to use a particular pharmacy??????. This is my first time using CVS and I am crying and dying of pain. My prescription is almost 48hrs and I can't get it.

The pharmacist and pharmacy staff here are AMAZING! They have been so helpful and understanding while I’m dealing with insurance changes. They fill your prescriptions FAST and I never have to wait more than a few minutes in the drive thru or in store. Glad I made the switch here.
