I was building a new home and bought a Generac from Menard's. My electrician installed it, and it was a very long process to figure out how to do it properly. I finally found GenX Generator, a division of Highland Park Electric. They sent Mike Shebesta out and he was fantastic. Set up and verified the operation and set me up so my Generac's operation can be remotely tracked by them. I highly recommend them!!

Great service! We were prepared to remove an old unit which was not working and their team was able to fix it at a reasonable price and on the same day. The technician was professional, thorough and patient with my questions. Highly recommend.

I would ignore or be skepitcal of any of the 1st star reviews...
So, let me share you my personal experience. I needed a side key for the lid to my generac generator since I lost it. I called around and none of the other companies were as helpful!
I talked to their service manager and he knew exactly what I was talking about and had a spare. I drove and picked them up. The office people were nice. Their service manager was fantastic, knowledgeble, and very helpful! He explained how to open it, provided the information to shut it off and on and what to do!
Since I felt he was extremely helpful I was like let me sign up for their service to my Generac. So I signed up for their annual service it looked like a good deal! All I can say is wow. They are able to come out next week and service the parts quickly! I look forward to it! Great company and great service manager!
So if have any questions, concerns, repair, issues, or looking to buy one. GO HERE FOR Generac generator because he was they were awesome!

Customer service is horrible. They are so positive on selling a system but when you need help, forget. The man on multiple times has be rude to my wife. Is it a power trip, would he be that way ro a man? Does this attitude come from the owner down? Or is it just poor customer service? I try to support local businesses but this one has gone too far.
After writing this, I started to look at other comments and it looks like this attitude flows through the company. Genereux should take a closer look at this operation.

Used there guys to repair a defective generator from the manufacturer. This was a warranty repair as the unit was defective out of the box. When I inquired why I received a bill for the warranty service, they ignored my communications, and then sent me a late payment notice with finance charges. Look elsewhere for professional, responsive and ethical service.Service: General repairs

We use this company for our yearly generator service which wasn't bad and I thought adequate. I thought since I use this company I would contact them for potential new business. I emailed twice for a quote on a new generator but no response for few days, so I called and Brian (maybe owner or not) told me they can come for quotes in middle of day, I asked for earlier, later or weekend appointments since I work!! he said that's their hours and it is what it is !! talk about getting business with this attitude. Honestly, I don't know what else to say , just a little disappointing, maybe its the new way of doing business, who knows.

Excellent service and reasonable. I recently switched over to them from Pure Power and am glad I did. Their annual service is about $50 cheaper and their write ups are more comprehensive of the service provided. They also show up when they say they will. Very happy with their work and professionalism.

They did a great job. Took care of my generator, told me plainly what was needed and helped me out. Also, I do not know the name of who came out to service my equipment but he was very helpful and friendly. Try them out.
