I've been an occasional-to-regular patron of their walking track for the past two years, and until this month, I had no complaints — it’s a nicely maintained indoor walking track. This month, however they canceled my walking track membership with over a year remaining, along with every other non-resident walking track membership. Then they asked us to "sign up for a new annual [walking track] pass" at, no joke, ten times the price. Look, if you want to change the price when our memberships expire, I may not like it, but fine, that's your prerogative. But canceling an active membership solely to charge the same people ten times more for the same service? Frankly, it strikes me as unethical, if not illegal.

Writing this review to give massive thanks to Deloris specifically. I was passing through highland park & stopped at a random beach for a quick second to take a picture. I kid you not, not even 5 minutes from the time I parked I was already issued a parking ticket. It's honestly so sad because it's almost like Highland park doesn't like visitors or atleast that's my first impression. Anyways, I came to the recreation center to see if i can have the ticket voided & not ONLY did Deloris understand & void my ticket but she went as far as to recommend me another beach with free parking & went into detail about everything else they offer. Thank you so much Deloris & I hope this gets back to you.

We use this place for swimming for all 3 of our kids. The teachers are amazing and kind, but the changing room is a different story. There are mothers bringing their boys 5 and up into the woman changing room. My oldest daughter is 9, and I think this is unacceptable!!! There are only 2 changing rooms there. Everyone else has to change in a common area. A boy coming in 5+ is not ok, period. Imagine your daughter is there, and a 5 year old sees her naked goes to the school and tells everyone. Who is actually gonna be bullied? Not the boy for sure!! Now I have to choose between my son and my older daughter. Who should I keep safe while my husband is with the younger one in the pool?

I wasn’t sure how I would like group fitness classes but everyone is so nice and it’s really such a community. I look forward to going.

Jaun is the best and I loved working out at the rec center because of the shut down I miss both Jaun and Caitlin so much and the rec center so much it was awesome going there for a bit

THA BEST! Great classes. Excellent friendly helpful staff. Clean. The BEST instructors. Some classes are in small studio rooms and get crowded sometimes. Otherwise excellent!

Great value for money. Facilities are great, atmosphere is mellow, with a lovely view while you work out. Locker rooms are clean, but could use an update. Many broken lockers.
