I would reconsider booking any service with Shaira. She never showed up for a hair appt I made a month in advance for my son's wedding. I showed up for my appt and was told she's not there and will not be coming in. I wanted to cry as my son was getting married in just a couple of hours. I received at least 3 confirmation texts to confirm I was going to be at my appointment. My memory of this nightmare is captured in my son's wedding photos 😫

Came in looking for several items. Apparently the Laura Geller line is not sold in stores. I was also looking for a waterproof black eyeliner, which is about impossible to find as many things were not stocked in the store. Also, I was looking for a kabuki brush, which I only found two of. I picked up an ego tools set that included the kabuki brush and waiting in line to check out.
I came in for four items and was waiting in line to purchase only two. The only two I could find. The Eco tool set then rang up $16 even though it was priced $9 on the shelf. The person behind the register did not follow me over to show her the price difference yet let the woman behind me step up and started to ring her up. I thought about waiting for her to ring this woman up and then come over and try to help me, but you know what… I’ll just go shop somewhere else.

My wife likes to shop here as it is close to the house and also near Binny's!
While she doesn't buy a ton of products she does really enjoy coming here when need be. Taylor is a great employee and always super helpful with a great attitude.

Worst Ulta i’ve been to. Tried to use my rewards barcode to get my points employee didn’t acknowledge it at all only kept repeating to put in my phone number. Once I did she put it to the wrong account which I then told her. She still didn’t acknowledge then left to go help another customer came back with the male manager who said they can’t use the barcode from the Ulta app. I wonder why the one on willow, skokie blvd, and milwaukee ave can all take the barcode except for this one. Overall rude and ignorant employees.

I had an amazing experience here. Ari was the staff member that helped me. I had many questions about makeup and skin care. Did indeed buy the right items finally my skin feels great makeup looks flawless and I honestly feel like it's due to information provided by this staff member. Store usually has what I need and that's great don't have to go to other Ulta's. Definitely will be returning.

This is a very good location. I went into the store and employees were very enthusiastic to help. They led me around the store as I was shopping awnsering any questions I had.

The brow expert is awesome: knowledgeable, skilled, quick, professional, listens. She got me the best brows, just the way I like them!
The manager here is phenomenal: great people skills, helpful, professional and sweet. She is probably the reason why this store has such a welcoming environment.
This is my favorite Ulta store so far (and moving a lot for work, I saw many!)

Went in to get a new eye kohl because I had heard that Ulta carries MAC now! Also saw they had some great lipsticks, but didn't have the energy to swatch them myself. Picked the color I THOUGHT was going to look great. Vanessa helped me out, and she was super friendly, and I felt a lot better. Wound up wearing the shade a few times, (Coy, in the 24 hour Locked Kiss line), and did not like how it looked. The eye kohl is just fantastic, I had bought the Feline in that, knowing what I was getting and it was as great as I remember. Found my receipt and Darla helped me to find new colors. Was SUPER excited to find out that a few of the lip colors were 20%, so exchanged Coy, and picked up Powdered Kiss lip lines, and really already loving the Wild Sumac. I've always had good experiences at this Ulta. About the only meh was that they are typically spread a little thin with staff, by about two people it seems. I rarely get asked for help, which is GREAT for me since I usually know what I'm looking for, but had I been asked, I might have avoided the initial issue. (Someone was in the MAC department already being helped, and I didn't interrupt.) Would totally recommend this store to anyone who is an introvert.

You could wander that store without help for a long time. And if you did have help, they wouldn't really be knowledgeable about what they have or be able to make an informed recommendation. So, if you know what you want and they have it, your good. If not, keep shopping.

I was looking for a good body butter or cream. The associate greeted me and asked if I needed help. I told her what I needed and she told me where to look. It was overwhelming and when I went to ask her for help she was helping someone else and taking her through the store to show her products. Why wasn't this offered to me? When she was complete with the other customer I showed her a product on my phone which advised this location had in stock. She told me they didn't have it without even looking for it. This is exactly why I hate coming here. I also called the customer service 800 number and they hung up on me.

Very impersonal with zero customer service. Always ask for a receipt. Even if you try to return or exchange something within 10 minutes with the same bag and at the same store, they will treat the customer as a criminal who is trying to return damaged goods. If they run out of receipt paper in their registers and you do not have your email address, phone number or belong to their club, you will never be able to return or exchange anything no matter if the transaction took place only several minutes before. No wonder shopping online is so much easier. Mr. Hanson & Mr. George should value their customers more and tell their employees to always issue a receipt of the transaction, no exceptions. Not everyone wants to give Ultra their email or phone numbers just to get bombarded with marketing & promos. Buy some more register paper and train all employees how to refill their registers. Obviously, I will not be shopping here again.

Beauty Buyers Beware! When you're making a purchase at Ulta and the pushy sales person encourages you to join their reward program, STOP. Because in fact, it is not just a rewards program, it is an Ulta Rewards CREDIT CARD. I have no use for another store credit card and never would have agreed to this had the full information been presented to me. I realized it literally 5 seconds after I pressed agree.... And when I asked for the card to be cancelled... there was, no surprise, "nothing they can do." The store manager couldn't have looked less interested in trying to help and just told me to call the bank. Thanks Ulta, for nothing. I will happily be going a little more out of my way and possibly even spending more money to get the same products at stores that are far more reputable.
