For various reasons I find myself going to Meineke every time I visit family for the holidays. (I have a 12 drive). They've fixed flat tires, changed my spark plugs, did tune ups and helped me feel safe for my long drive back. The technicians here are very knowledgeable and courteous.

The guys at Meineke in Highland are amazing. They work with me on every repair and walk me through what needs to be done and why. I have a hard to work on foreign luxury car, and they are so knowledgeable and willing to take the time to get the work done right. I can’t say enough good things about all of the staff.

Meineke diagnosed and repaired rotors and brake pads on our Volvo XC60. They shared the cause of the problem and provided an accurate estimate for parts and labor costs. Once parts were received they performed the repair quickly and notified us when it was complete.

These guys are awesome. I was stranded on the highway and my insurance company had failed me…said they couldn’t find a row truck.I called Meineke and they recommended a tow truck company who picked me up within 20 minutes. When the vehicle arrived at the shop there wasn’t enough time to do the work before closing time but they stayed and worked past closing time. They were professional, exceptionally kind and did a great job!!!!

I brought my car in to diagnose a low whining noise I thought was involving the serpentine belt, it turns out it was a pulley in the timing belt system. The Highland Meineke guys took care of me and did a check on all the other systems of the car and said it turned out fine. I recommend seeing them.

I’ll be going elsewhere next time. If you like hearing a litany of curse words, the whole time you’re there, then this is the place for you. The guys were yelling and screaming about whose turn it was to clean the shop. I stood there waiting for minutes after my oil change was complete for them to even pull my car out of the shop because they were arguing. Once I got in my car, there were dirty footprints all over the floor as no protection had been put down. Also, they Told me I needed to change my air filter and when they told me the cost, I said that seems like a lot. They told me it was because of the make and model of my car. I wish I didn’t known better, because when I went home and googled it, I could’ve got one on Amazon for about 15 bucks and they charged me 54. Having said that, they did change my oil, the waiting room was clean, but those are about the best things I can say.Service: Oil change

The 2 stars aren’t only 1 because the actual repairs appear to have been done well. Here’s the abbreviated account of my experience.Saturday: Broke down in the Highland area traveling from VA to CO for a week of dirt bike riding. Had my truck towed to this location as it was the only shop open. Shop unable to get authorization for warranty work due to the warranty company being closed on Saturday. Rented a truck and left my Ram there to be repaired that week.Monday: Called and learned authorization was granted; parts ordered.Wednesday: Called and was told repairs are complete. Given total of my bill apart from warranty companies liability. Asked if I could pay my portion over the phone since it may be after closing Saturday before I make it back to the shop on my way back to VA. Employee said they would check.Friday: Employee informed me a credit card could be taken over the phone but with conditions. I explained it was no problem as I was already on my way back and would make it the next day (Saturday) before closing. Employee says “Great”.Saturday: Arrive to pay my portion of the bill and pick up my truck. Was told by different employee (other guys not there that day) that even after paying my portion (just north of $400) that they will not release the truck until warranty company pays their portion (about 1,300). As previously learned, warranty company closed on weekends. Employee calls district manager (Doug). Response is they will not release the truck until payment is made in full. I ask what kind of assurance can I have that if pay the full amount that I will be reimbursed. Managers response is “that’s between him and the warranty company”.I’m forced to pay over 1,700.00 on the spot to be able to get home despite their possession of a pre authorization for the repairs performed. At no time in any of the multiple conversations over the phone throughout the week was it ever relayed to me they would not release my truck until payment was actually received from the warranty company. Had it been, I would have initiated a wire transfer as soon as the amount was known so the warranty company could have been contacted for payment.End result: Due to a total failure to communicate effectively and a policy that unnecessarily puts customers at the mercy of restrictive hours and untimely email correspondence, I was forced to shell out money for repairs that are already covered via a promissory and now I (an individual, not an authorized repair center) am left to try and get reimbursement on my own.Unacceptable.
