“I was in a massive hurry to a wedding and completely forgot to pack my cufflinks! The folks here were able to help me, having some cufflinks out for me to select from and helping me move quickly. My only regret is I couldn’t stay longer since the folks are incredibly nice. Would love to go back again since the selection looks incredible!”
“I couldn't be happier with the amazing refinishing job Valentino and his team did on an old but beautiful ebony Baker dining table, a large 1780s chest, my daughter's childhood dresser and a vintage magazine holder. They are museum quality now -- and were a disaster before. Their attention to detail and expertise were amazing. And Valentino was so knowledgable and gracious to deal with that it made the whole experience a pleasure. His team expertly and carefully picked up the pieces and delivered them back to my Gold Coast home when they were finished. I smile every time I look at my refinished pieces. “I called to get a get what the commission was on my 14 k braclers. The owner told me 97% of the spot price. I did the calculations and came up with the price. I get there and she changes the commission to 93% of golds current spot price. We do the math and she pulls out a sheet of paper with the price they pay for 14 k based on Gram price. Nobody would show me the sheet. I do the calculation and the price would be $87.92 after 93% of the sot price commission which came out to over $6000. The lady owner looks at her sheet of paper for what they pay for 14k gold. Unbelievably she offers $78 a gram Which lowers the price by $1000 to $5000. My calculations were correct. Her piece of paper was taking a 15% commission. She says I have to make money ( by cheating me). I get up to leave and she flashes $5200 cash. For me it's no dea when you steal.”
“We had two items one mid century modern chair that was broke in 3 places and a king bed we purchased online from a consignment store that had been painted over beautiful cherry. We found Mark online and he was able to pick up and deliver. His pricing to fix chair and refinish bed was far cheaper than we anticipated. Had both items done in less than a couple weeks and the job he did was phenomenal. Highly recommend.”

“Besides being a supreme craftsman, Ray is a purveyor of marvelous oddities like the recycled-aluminum creatures--flamingoes, penguins, pigs, roosters--that I've collected over the years. These all-weather friends "hide" in plain sight, peeking out from behind trees & shrubs, delighting toddlers, amusing passersby. Yesterday as I turned onto Ridge in Wilmette, a green dinosaur in front of Ray's shop flagged me down & asked where I've been! He & his brilliant friends, peacock & owl, made me laugh--& for a moment I forgot about Covid 19, my husband's stroke, the war in Ukraine, global warming. Who could resist that? And so our menagerie grows--in size & popularity. Thanks to Ray”

“I highly recommend this company for restoration of old antique pieces of furniture. I had a valued piece of family furniture that we were on the fence of keeping or restoring. They restored a 100 year old piece of furniture to a beautiful piece of furniture that can be cherished for generations in our family. This was a my grandfather's chifforobe. They were accommodating and able to transport the piece to and from our home. The price might have been slightly high for some people but compare what is sold on the market today, this will for generations to preserve. Very nice to work with and accommodating.”
