“I had a pretty good stay at Holiday Inn Express & Suites Chicago West – O’Hare Area by IHG. The hotel was clean, the room was comfortable, and the staff was friendly and helpful. I also appreciated the convenient location, especially for getting around the O’Hare area. We were only 15 mins away from rental company/airport. I loved the microwave and refrigerator. Bed was super comfortable.
There were a few minor things that could have been better, which is why I’m giving it 4 stars instead of 5, but overall it was a pleasant stay and I would consider staying here again. Shower pressure could have stronger and a few hairs in tub.”
“My granddaughter and I got to share a delightful experience, painting and interacting with the macaw who visited the studio. We also got to observe and learn about other birds from the naturalist who adopted them all. Everything was so well planned and ran smoothly. Lynn, the painting instructor, was very patient and encouraging. The studio was bright, colorful, and comfortable. The owner was present and often involved. Everyone went out of their way to make it a great experience.”

“We are so grateful to have had our wedding at the Nineteenth Century Charitable Association (NCCA)! Woody and his team were wonderful to work with - from first touring the venue to clean-up the morning after. Set in the beautiful neighborhood of Oak Park, the NCCA is surrounded by community parks and historic homes by Frank Loyd Wright. We also had easy access to the local hotel to host our guests overnight. This wedding venue is reasonably priced with true historic charm. The food and beverages were excellent. We held our ceremony/cocktail hour on the first floor and reception on the second floor, comfortably accommodating our guest count of 175 people. Woody is responsive and flexible. He is willing to support creative endeavors to make your wedding feel original. We feel so fortunate to have found the NCCA to host our wedding - we would absolutely recommend it to you!”
“A great place for a picnic! There are portapotties, lots of parking, and plenty of picnic tables. There’s some nice trails close by to hike. Just be aware that you must leave by sunset!! My friends and I were slapped with some hefty tickets because we didn’t know this rule!”

This place isn’t just a venue — it’s history, it’s community, it’s the kind of spot where memories stack up over decades. I’ve been coming here for 20+ years, and there’s nothing quite like walking through those doors and feeling the energy of everything that’s happened inside.
And for wrestling fans? This place was legendary.
Watching AAW Wrestling shows here was something special. The crowd right on top of the action, the noise, the chants — it felt like you were part of the show, not just watching it. Absolute chaos in the best possible way.
And then… last night.
Being there to see Seth Rollins — yeah, Seth Freakin Rollins — in a place like this? Unreal. One of those moments where you just stop and think, “This is why we come to shows.” The kind of memory that sticks with you forever.
Which makes it even harder to hear that shows might not be coming back here.
That one hurts.
Because places like the Berwyn Eagles Club aren’t just buildings — they’re part of the fabric of the community. Generations of fans, decades of events, and countless unforgettable nights. Losing wrestling here doesn’t just mean losing a venue… it means losing a piece of something bigger.
We need to find a way to bring the shows back. Future fans deserve to experience what we’ve had for years. The energy, the passion, the pure magic of a packed house on wrestling night.
This place has given us so much over the last 20+ years — it deserves to keep doing that for the next 20.
Pro tip: If you ever had the chance to catch a show here, you already know. And if there’s any way to bring it back… we should make it happen. 🦅💥”
“not very accessable. as a mobility aid user I noticed how steep any of the wheelchair ramps were immediately, and had to ask staff for assistance more than once.”
“I really enjoy taking evening walks here in their walking path. Plenty of families here with their kids playing or participating in their favorite sport. In the summer time they have music in the park with live bands playing today’s hits or old time favorites. Bring a lawn chair and enjoy the music.”

“We recently held a post funeral dinner service at Elmcrest Banquets, and I cannot say enough about the professionalism and compassion of the entire staff. The space was beautifully prepared and thoughtfully arranged to create a warm and comforting atmosphere for my family and my guests. They have two parking lots to handle overflow of guests. The food was beautifully presented, fresh, and delicious. Highly recommend.”
“Katherine Legge Memorial Lodge is a very nice place. The Harold Zook house and studio next to it have great architectural significance. You can't go in the house, but the outside is very impressive.”

The hall was very clean with a full bar inside. Also, they support our veterans. I wouldn't hesitate to have another event here!”

“One of my very favorite hotel. Great location, room and staff, from hotel shuttle driver, front desk, restaurant and housekeeping. I’m sad when I’m in town and they’re sold out which happens quite often. I love staying at this hotel.”

“Such a fun little gem, especially for families with young kids! The unlimited indoor carousel rides were definitely the star of the visit and made everything feel extra special. It’s a cute, charming place where little ones can really enjoy themselves. We loved that the carousel rides were indoors too, which made it even more convenient and fun. Just a friendly heads-up: they close at 2 PM, so it’s best to come early to make the most of your visit. Definitely a sweet little spot for family fun!”

The trail provides good views of the lake and starts off as a pretty typical trail, until you reach a grass field with the Peabody Estate in view. You're then free to walk the grounds of the estate and the nearby chapel.
The grounds, estate, and chapel are beautiful and the area is quiet and serene.”
“Tessarae is such a warm, inviting place full of the kindest people. We had my daughter's birthday party there and it was a great experience. The environment was very inviting and comfortable, our group of teens had a really fun time doing a painting lesson together. We're looking forward to returning for painting lessons and art anytime in the future!”

“Kenny and Jeanette at The Fairway in Niles (Howard Street Inn) were unbelievably helpful while planning and hosting my mom’s funeral luncheon. From start to finish, they went above and beyond to make everything perfect. The space was beautiful and just the right size — comfortable, welcoming, and thoughtfully set up.
The staff was kind, attentive, and professional, and the food and service were excellent. It truly felt like a celebration of my mom’s life surrounded by family and friends.
