Lynn, the painting instructor, was very patient and encouraging. The studio was bright, colorful, and comfortable. The owner was present and often involved. Everyone went out of their way to make it a great experience.”
“Had a great time at the {Em}Power Tools 101: Bench Planter workshop on June 4. We learned the proper way to use power tools and applied our knowledge to create our own cedar planter that looks like a bench. Everyone's bench turned out beautifully - thanks to the help of our leaders Massiel and Aimee. Mine is now beautifying my front porch!

“We are so grateful to have had our wedding at the Nineteenth Century Charitable Association (NCCA)! Woody and his team were wonderful to work with - from first touring the venue to clean-up the morning after. Set in the beautiful neighborhood of Oak Park, the NCCA is surrounded by community parks and historic homes by Frank Loyd Wright. We also had easy access to the local hotel to host our guests overnight. This wedding venue is reasonably priced with true historic charm. The food and beverages were excellent. We held our ceremony/cocktail hour on the first floor and reception on the second floor, comfortably accommodating our guest count of 175 people. Woody is responsive and flexible. He is willing to support creative endeavors to make your wedding feel original. We feel so fortunate to have found the NCCA to host our wedding - we would absolutely recommend it to you!”
“A great place for a picnic! There are portapotties, lots of parking, and plenty of picnic tables. There’s some nice trails close by to hike. Just be aware that you must leave by sunset!! My friends and I were slapped with some hefty tickets because we didn’t know this rule!”

“I haven't visited this park in over five years. We hiked for two hours. My friend Andrea led the hike. It was very peaceful and clean. They even have a black- owned smoothie bar at the entrance of the stairs. I will definitely visit again.”

“I was there for the New Balance tournaments. The seating was very limited. Courts are close which can cause confusion with the whistle. The facility is nice and in a secluded area.”

When the day came, the hall was put together beautifully and exactly how we pictured it. The food was also excellent. If you are planning on having an event look no further than the Belvedere. If you need decorations, work with Events with Savannah as well!!”
“We recently held a post funeral dinner service at Elmcrest Banquets, and I cannot say enough about the professionalism and compassion of the entire staff. The space was beautifully prepared and thoughtfully arranged to create a warm and comforting atmosphere for my family and my guests. They have two parking lots to handle overflow of guests. The food was beautifully presented, fresh, and delicious. Highly recommend.”

“We had my dad's celebration of life at this remodeled Post. Everyone who operates this place was a pleasure. Shout out to Bruce & Ophelia! I highly recommend this place for an event. The hall was very clean with a full bar inside. Also, they support our veterans. I wouldn't hesitate to have another event here!”
“As bowling alleys are falling 1 by 1 regularly, this center does a good job taking care of the lanes and machines while upgrading everything else and staying Modern. Managed well with reasonable prices. Great for league, open bowling and parties.”

“I attended a special event at the Mansion with Geoffrey Baer for WTTW. The place is very cool. Some of the rooms have been restored to their original furnishings and some are bare. The library, chapel, and hidden staircase are highlights of the mansion. The weather was not good for outdoor activities on the day of my visit, but the grounds are nice and would make a great place for a walk on a nice day.”

“Absolutely loved this place. They have a gallery in the museum where you can purchase the art and support local artists. The gallery is free to enter, but the art exhibits (side from the outside art) require an entrance fee. They change out the art every couple of months.”
