Most of the staff are pleasant and helpful. I have been in this store only a handful of times. I've get my hair cut here with Annie at the salon and I think she does a great job. There are some makeup products I've had difficulty finding in the Ulta brand, and it seemed like the display was smaller than other stores I've been in, which is why I gave the store four stars.

I came in to redeem my gift card & did not want to take long as they closed in 30
minutes, I picked out a Nars mini concealer that was priced at $15 and a skincare product for $10 and headed to the checkout, my total came out to around 42… I looked back and seen the concealer was 32… Not sure if it’s priced wrong or maybe there was a mistake in the system but when i asked the cashier if the concealer was $32 she went silent checked and said yes, okay. So i said i didn’t want it anymore and she just threw the concealer on the counter. Not sure if they were not taught customer service but that’s rude and unprofessional. I did not once give her attitude yet it seemed like she had attitude after i said i didn’t want it. Definitely not welcoming at all. Next time check the labels and make sure displays are correct because my boyfriend and I both seen the price for the concealer being $15 yet at the register it was $32!! And terrible customer service!!

Really disappointed in my checkout experience. The cashier Nadia was not very nice, she kinda just wanted to ring my items and get me out of her face. When i asked her if any coupons would apply to my purchase she said “probably not” due to the items being Clinique, my app wasn’t loading fast enough and I gave up and got out of her face. I went home and checked online in the app for the same items and the coupon was applied. I could have saved $20! Ill be ordering the same items and returning my items back to Nadia. Save yourself the pain and hassle and just order online. This is exactly why cashiers are becoming obsolete, because no one wants to deal with their lack of good customer service. I rather order online going forward or use self checkout where is it available.

As a Black woman, walking into Ulta today with my husband brought back an all-too-familiar discomfort. We weren’t greeted, while other customers were welcomed with smiles. When one associate began helping me, her energy was warm—but moments later, a white female manager came over and asked her, “Do you need help?” The question wasn’t about support—it was about control. It felt like I was being monitored, not served.
What stung even more is that I used to work at Ulta—in Orland Park—and this exact type of behavior is one of the reasons I left. White female managers often carried themselves like they held absolute authority, disregarding the voices and contributions of Black employees. That toxic power dynamic shows up not just behind the scenes, but in how customers are treated, too.
I left Ulta as an employee because of that environment. Today, I left as a customer feeling just as dismissed and disrespected. It’s exhausting to keep encountering the same patterns.
@ultabeauty, your values state that inclusivity and equity matter to you. I’m asking you to take real accountability for how your team members—especially management—are treating Black customers and employees. What are you doing to ensure your stores are safe and respectful spaces for everyone?

The girl at the salon that’s at the register back there gossips and trash talks about her coworkers in front of customers. She kept interrupting my service to do that with my stylist. She kept interrupting mine and my stylists conversation and after first arriving I caught her talking about me while giving dirty looks. They charged for a service without telling me they would, I was able to get a refund for it after having to prove a point multiple times. Not a friendly Ulta to go to.

The staff was very friendly and helpful. I was looking for a couple of new products. When I walked in I was greeted right away, and then asked if I needed assistance from different associates on a few occasions. The layout is pretty self explanatory and easy to navigate. I found what I was looking for very easily despite not having been inside an Ulta for almost a decade. I did have questions about a new facial moisturizer, and the associate helped and answered all my questions including price differences. I never once felt pressured to buy a larger size or anything else. The cashier was just as friendly and helped sign me up for the rewards program. From the moment I walked in until the moment I left the whole experience was very pleasant and easy. What I thought was gonna be a daunting task turned out to be a great part of my day!!

my experience at this location has been amazing! I needed to get a gift for my mom this holiday season and Jenesis at the service desk went above and beyond to help me get not only products but also book an appointment to get my mother's eyebrows waxed! I'm incredibly lucky she was the one doing the waxing because she worked so well with my mother and went over different products to use so waxing could be simpler next time. Great customer service and an overall great worker!

I can honestly say as a black woman I will never step foot back into this location after tonight. I ask I believe the manger one question she answered me very polite and sweet. As I’m standing in line to do my pick up, she was nearby so I decided to ask one more question ok that was cool. I’m next in line she is at the pick up station helping two other women (not black) then she’s finish with them she hurry up and walk away. I step the register tell another young lady I’m here for pick up she talk into they little earpiece and says why did you put her off on me. I’m the only one at the register so apparently they’re talking about me. Ok I received my things and stated I need to hurry up and get out of here. I WILL NEVER STEP FOOT BACK IN THIS STORE.

Spent almost $300, and not one free sample. It was higher end products. Should have gone to a department store, for the same price, they would have thrown in some samples.
