The older woman with bleached blonde hair that works the register makes you like she’s put out to check you out is very cold and shouldn’t be working with customers. Zero customer service communication skills.

PAT AND RED are awesome, they are very polite knowledgeable And accommodating. They helped me find my supplies in the store quickly.
I was rushing back to the store to return the excess supplies (some ace hardware are individually owned and can only accept returns where bought)
And when i arrived at the store 1 min after closing they opened the doors and allowed me to return my excess supplies. Truly above and beyond.

Worst service, I have ever seen staff is unavailable to help you and when you find someone, it's like you are bothering them. The worst service I have ever seen I will not ever go there again

8/20245* Good service here.
10/2020 5* Have not been in this store for quite a while. Found what I needed. Used the website to locate the product in the right store and sure enough it was there. That was awesome. People here were extra helpful.

"Ace is the place with the helpful hardware folks!" So, this location lived up to and beyond their slogan during my visit today, and during my last one also, but this one was simply superior in terms of the customer service I received. See, this is EXACTLY how every visit to this, and really, every store, should go — I'm not always on my cane, but today was a bad pain day for the spine & hips, so I hobbled in, was greeted by a friendly employee and allowed to continue on my way to where I was headed, which was to the screws and nails; nobody pounced on me like some greeters do, insisting that they immediately lead me to the items I needed, or asking me a barrage of questions concerning my hardware needs etc. I HATE that. I want to be greeted, acknowledged and let to go on my way, unless I TELL you I am looking for something specific and would like to be taken straight to it, or, after looking around, if unable to find what I want and I'm visibly wandering aimlessly and obviously in search of "something," I appreciate being approached to ask if I need help.
Today, in my search for the screws I needed, no problem, knew where to go, found the package in a minute or two. The nails, on the other hand, were a different story.....
(and this would be my only gripe about the store itself, because it just makes absolutely no sense whatsoever - you'll understand in a minute)...My logical assumption was, since there was a full aisle, both sides, nearly floor to about 6' high, LOADED with every type, length, width, and duty of screw and nut that's ever been made, and for any and every kind of material or surface, that there should also be a full aisle of the same with nails, respectively. But there was not, as far as I was able to see. I found a younger employee and asked where I could find them, and he led me to a tiny section of shelving with large boxes of nails meant for larger projects (I needed all of ten, 2½" galvanized roofing nails, or box nails), so I discovered it was either pay 23 bucks for a pile of nails I was never gonna use again, or drive my sorry butt to Home Depot, which I loathe, but this was where my husband got the original package we were working from, so I at least knew I could get them there. I thought, this simply could NOT be the ONLY selection of nails they had. This is a friggin hardware store, for Christ's sake!
Walked around the corner and saw a small end cap display of packages of nails, in a variety of metal types, colors, lengths and for tons of different purposes, going all the way down to your basic thumbtack, which I didn't know was considered a nail, but I digress...
Not a single nail that I saw on any of these hooks were suited to my needs, and so I walked back into the screw aisle, frustrated, and peeking into bins, thinking, this stuff HAS to be mis-marked or something; that CAN'T be all the nails they have! In mid-that-thought, another youngster was showing a customer into this aisle, and when I asked for his help, he was SUPER cool, very patient and understanding with my ridiculous confusion, and it turned out he, himself was also confounded by the store's lack of selection. I thought, maybe in back? Can we grab a manager to ask, just in case? I joked, I am sure I've walked past them a hundred times and they're hiding in plain sight, but at this point, I just feel like this is a whole Where's Waldo deal..."
A co-worker, not sure if he was a manager or not, but, a gentleman nearer my age, named Henry came up RIGHT then actually and asked if he could help. Both he and the younger guy went to town looking for my nails in the little bit of what they DID have, and Henry picked out a $3 package for me that was so close that it actually wound up doing the job. Between the two of them, I swear, they were just all over this customer service thing and very genuinely wanted to make sure I got what I needed and left happy. Henry even carried my basket with the fire s
