Nice course but Too many holes on ridiculous slopes. USGA suggests that at least a 2-foot radius around the hole “should be as nearly level as possible and of uniform grade.” The hole shouldn’t be placed on a steep slope upon which a missed putt from above the hole would roll a long distance past the cup.

My golf group made a mistake and accidentally booked a tee time for Saturday that we meant to book for Sunday. Nevertheless, the entire Poplar Creek team made it so easy on us. They understood it was a simple mistake, helped squeeze us in shortly after we arrived and made the experience seamless. I plan on returning often. Course is great and the hospitality is top notch

I always love coming here whether to play or (more often) practice. The staff makes the experience work. Must be good sound leadership on top because it trickles down to all the employees. They all seem to follow a pattern of being down to earth, sensible, calm, flexible, and just a pleasure to deal with. You never get a feeling like they're trying to "get you". Can't say the same for everyplace else although I must say after the pandemic everyone seems a bit more connected to the customer and also friendlier. No reason not to be. I LOVE practicing here but I don't wanna say why because I don't want it to become over crowded. Let's just say the place freakin RULES! I love Poplar. )

This had the potential to be 5 stars. The actual course layout I will give 4.5-5 stars. The pace of play here is 4:24, which is where my deduction comes in. A flat, par 70 course, should not take that long and what it showed me was they know/don’t care about slow players. The group in front of me today consistently had a hole and a half in front of them and we were waiting every hole from the 3rd-18.Called the clubhouse and they said they’d send a ranger but never did. We also messaged the clubhouse twice from our cart to send someone and they never did. When we mentioned this, they did not care one bit.

The new Top Tracer bays are awesome. Heated too. Prices are reasonable too Cheaper than top golf. Both are great fun.

Hope out for a round of twilight, the course is a challenge a lot of water to avoid. When we played we finished 6 holes in an hour then got backed up the rest of the round do to people ball hawking in front of us with no ranger supervision. If there was a ranger monitoring pace of play we would have wrapped up in under 4 hours.

Such a rude starter and staff I would never go back here. They act like it's a private club, then treat you like you aren't welcome.

TL;DR - Overall a great wedding venue for a great price; just remember that it’s also a golf club, and you will have to compete with that on your wedding day.We held our wedding at Bridges of Poplar Creek in October 2022. The planning process was relatively smooth, with Jennifer being a fantastic communicator and helper (especially with a great eye for detail). The outdoor ceremony space is gorgeous, especially in fall when the leaves are turning; we lucked out and got the weekend when the largest trees on either side of the altar/gazebo were beautifully bright red! For dinner, we did the pretzel chicken + filet combo (yes, pretzel chicken is a thing, and it’s fantastic), as well as pasta and salmon (the real dark horse winner of the night) for those who preferred it. We still continue to receive plenty of compliments on how beautiful everything was, indoors & outdoors, as well as how great the food tasted! So the reason this review isn’t 5-stars is because of the challenges we faced with pre-ceremony photos. Clearly, this is a country club and golf course. We knew this going in. However, it wasn’t communicated to us until too late that we would pretty much be actively competing with golfers for time on the grounds for photos. The day of, we had to wait around for the golfing director to give us approval to go about 50 yards away from the main hall to take photos on a bridge, and then were hurried back to let the golfers play through. When we were planning the day, this was not communicated clearly to us, so we did not set this expectation with our wedding parties or media team. We ended up with very rushed party photos, and we had effectively no say in where those photos took place. It would have been nice to have had this expectation clearly set from the beginning, and to have a better idea of exactly when and where we would have the chance to take photos anywhere besides the main hall itself.Overall, we’d definitely recommend using Bridges of Poplar Creek for your wedding! Just learn from our experience, and make sure you’re having early and frequent conversations with the staff about how your big day’s timeline will be impacted by golfing.

We held our extended family Christmas party here yesterday. Room was very nice, food was excellent and the staff were very responsive and accommodating. We will use this facility again!

If you need a space for a wedding or party this is the place to go. Jennifer is a wonderful event planner. She will walk you through everything. I just had my daughter wedding there on Saturday 10/29/22. Jennifer help us with everything from special table cloths to chair cover and pastries. The wedding turn out beautiful in the black, orange, purple. The waitress and bartender was right on there game. No matter what any one ask for the request was handle. They have great service good prices and very nice venue.

Really weird when the cart lady drives by, looks at you, then doesn’t ask if you want a drink or snack..

Decent course, but the ball machine for the range is down a surprisingly high frequency of times.
