Would not give them 1 star either but no other option , employees so rude , on top of that they don’t have in stock wat u ask them . For small shopping basket i left on floor instead of telling customer they directly start talking among each other , indirectly letting me know where the shopping baskets go and start discussing regarding store policy
First thing keep ur store organize that’s main priority rather than discussing the store policy

Terrible customer service by the manager Austin at this location. His employee, the cashier, dropped my quarter and it fell under the belt. Austin witnessed his the situation and the cashier felt bad but Austin told me it was my fault, I should have paid on the other side of the register and would not credit me the quarter. Terrible customer service to blame me and not credit a the stupid quarter his employee dropped. SMH

I was at this dollar store in Hoffman Estates and the manager was very rude and her name is Rebecca. I was just asking her if I can return the water bottle spray if it doesn't work and she responded with an attitude saying "why wouldn't it work?" then she added... you cannot return it if it is used." So, my response to her was "how would I know if I don't try it?" She said "NO you cannot return it, that's the store policy. That's not my policy. She was being sarcastic! So, I said I won't buy it then." I asked her if she's the store manager and she said yes. She should know how to treat customers with respect and should not respond the way she responded to me. She looks like she hates her job, looks so unprofessional, looks like she has not showered in weeks!, smells like a cigarette, her breathe stinks! Her customer service was terrible! Someone from the higher up should give this store a surprise visit.

Went in for a quick snack run last night. Not only are things overpriced there now. I spent $80 on a few items. But the manager opened up a lane even though the cashier was done ringing up the customer infront of me but I said ok whatever and went to his lane. I wish I had NOT.
Anyway he was rude af. Gave me my receipt like I was a peasant, even though he is the one working at dollar tree, but I said thank you and the moron said nothing. Not a "thank you, have a good night" Nothing!! Very poor customer service, will never go to this washed up unorganized dollar tree again. Sorry you hate your job dude.

This place is so bad really unprofessional this morning at 9:47 am I had a really bad experience with the cashier & KC assistant manager. So I made a $54 dollars purchase and requested to get $50 back from my card, and the cashier got mad and with a nasty attitude she said "why didn't you tell me we don't have $50 to give you is so early for that" I told her then make a note and let us customers know that. Big story short I was charge $104. & won't get my money back until in 3 days when Rebecca the store Manger is back. Now that's something I have never expericen before how do I have to wait to get my money back butut you guys stores want the money back now. This store is nice and clean but the employees are so rude and so unprofessional.

It’s busy on a Sunday, totally understandable when it comes to being short staffed so line was a little long. However, it doesn’t excuse the cashier by the name of Yamel, being on her phone while ringing customers! The guest in front of me was having trouble with her Apple Pay, when she asked the cashier to help her, she continued to look at her phone. When I was paying, the screen said wait for cashier, and while she’s still texting, I had to say “hey can I get my receipt or..” then she finally looked up and gave me it.

The 2 young male cashiers were great especially while being yelled at in front of everyone by a woman I assume was their manager on 09/17/2023. I was so disgusted at how she was speaking to one of them as if he were stupid with absolutely no respect. Shouting orders at him. Customers were clearly shocked and uncomfortable and asking the cashier if he was ok when the manager went out for a smoke. If she is so pissed about not enough help then she should be mad at the company for not making the work environment one wants to be in. I’m sure she wouldn’t be happy if both the young men working quit. Then she would have no cashiers. The young man kept his composure and complied with her disgusting way of speaking. Dollar tree is lucky if he shows up to work tomorrow.
