I think the front desk person Dhruv Shah needs some lessons on customer service. Also everyone dropping off here should check their charges. This guy tried to accuse my husband of not returning the car with a full tank. We filled up right next to the store. Dhruv is knocking on the gas gauge to check and see if it’s full! From reading the other reviews looks like this location isn’t greatest! Oh, and when you complain you are accused of “being a racist” and apparently Dhruv is going to note that on the account! I’d give it 0 stars if I could!

Rented for the weekend to go to a funeral out of town. It was somewhat of okay when picking up. I ask about leaving my car and they just said I don't advise you too just cause of the area. He did not say they will tow my car if you leave it. So I get back to pick up my car, it's not there. They hear me saying I can not find my car. When I ask about calling the police is when they finally said it was probably towed. We have postings up. So I give them that butheard me say where is Mty car. Very bad customer service. It's know way they would not say that at first, so simple. If I was a person who did not have money and highly Blessed, it would have been a big problem!!!

? SHADY PEOPLE!!!BAD experience all around.They arranged pick up but gave the wrong ph# to the Lyft driver. So the driver left and I had to wait for another driver.When I got here, they tell me the type of car I reserved wasn't available so I had to pay extra for another car. What is the point of reservation if you're going to tell me to get a more expensive car?! If I hadn't needed the car urgently, I would have just left.When i returned the car, they charged me extra... AGAIN! They said the insurance only covered a limited number of days. This is incorrect. My insurance allows 21 days and I only had the car for over a week. I said I'm calling the insurance and stood right by the counter while I did so. The insurance rep asked to speak with Hertz, and Hertz said that I just had to discuss it with the claims adjustor since he already closed the contract. I guess this was the slip of paper he handed to me while I'm busy talking with my insurance. I understand that Hertz is not responsible for the limitations of any claim. However, it was underhanded and unprofessional for Hertz to "close the contract" knowing that I'm in discussion with the insurance. I threw that piece of paper on the floor and walked out.My insurance is great, but I wish they won't work with this shady business anymore.

Absolutely horrible experience here... The "manager" says that she can't do anything about my guaranteed vehicle I reserved last week. It was to be the specific vehicle I reserved (Tesla Model Y) and then to be bait and switched into something old, dirty (inside and out) and junky instead. Bait and switch.The store location "manager" told me that she was the manager and that she's not going to give me her bosses info to contact or ask him to step out from his office...but that if I had a complaint and wasn't satisfied with the service or the car I was going to be given...call customer service. After being in the phone with a customer service rep for over 40+min, they too did NOTHING for me. The customer service Rep on the phone also said this location had had many bad reports for those location of trying to swindle out customers from the car they chose into something lesser than what they'd booked and possibly for a more expensive vehicle if the reservation was still wanted.Horrible service and attitude from all people here. Some shady stuff happening here for sure. Go elsewhere and you'll be happier that you did.RUN!

I think the guy only was being nice just to get good ratings. I missed almost 2 weeks of Uber cause the guy didn't want to fix paperwork. I had a very bad experience there I would never go back to Hertz in Schaumburg. I had to end up going to another Hertz that's in Des plaines if you're trying to rent a car through Uber the best one is in Des plaines

This is for Hertz Corporate, not any particular site. I have had horrible experiences at too many all over the country at this point.The change in the Hertz website two years ago has made it useless. After they screwup your rental (wrong number of days charged, electric service charge for car returned at 85%), or even better; when your rental car (which was reserved an confirmed) simply is not there (three times in the past month), THEN you have to deal with "customer service". IF you can figure out what the person in country "x" is trying to say in English, that means that you have endured 20 minutes of the worst POS hold muzak that has ever, EVER, been used to annoy the crap out of someone patiently waiting to be hung up on AGAIN, while trying to get them to correct their constant mistakes. Avoid at all costs. I am a President's Circle member at Hertz, and I'm NEVER going back.

Poor service! I booked a tesla long range but the morning of they called me that they only have standard tesla ( which was $50-60 cheaper) and they promise to fix the price, but of course they didn’t and wanted me to call costumer service but they wouldn’t fixed it because I still had the car.Later when I tried to call them for rental extension someone at the local office named Caroline would put me on hold for 20 minutes at a time for 2 hours and would hung up on me without even hearing me what’s going on. I had to call the main line and they were giving me the rate for the expensive car even though I had the cheaper model!Horrible experience!!

Picked up a car here and initially the process was great the gentlemen was nice efficient and I was on my way. The condition of the car however was not great, it was not clean inside or outside.Aside from that everything worked fine but upon returning we had to encounter a rude women at the desk. You can’t expect customers to adhere to a standards that you can’t keep yourself as a company/location as you are providing dirty cars. We returned it cleaner than they gave it to us and this women was rude and unprofessional. Please train your staff to be competent enough to offer customer service.

I recently rented a car from Hertz, and I must express my extreme disappointment with the overall experience. Upon entering the car, I was immediately greeted by an extremely unpleasant odor. The condition of the car's interior was far from satisfactory.Furthermore, I found the behavior of the staff to be quite unprofessional and rude. They seemed disinterested in addressing my concerns and were unwilling to listen to any feedback or questions I had. This lack of customer service was truly disappointing.Considering the poor condition of the car and the unhelpful attitude of the staff, I regret to say that I will not be choosing Hertz for any future car rentals. This experience has left me with a negative impression of the company, and I feel compelled to share my disappointment to prevent others from encountering similar issues.In conclusion, my recent rental experience with Hertz was far from satisfactory. The unpleasant odor inside the car and the rude behavior of the staff have led me to the decision that I will never use Hertz again for my car rental needs.

I recently rented a car from Hertz, and unfortunately, the experience was far from satisfactory. The overall condition of the car did not meet the expectations one would have when renting from a reputable company.Adding to the disappointment was the unprofessional behavior of the staff. Their attitude was notably rude, and it seemed that they had no interest in providing quality customer service. They appeared disinterested and unwilling to listen to any concerns or queries I had about the rental.

If I could give less than one I would. I'm a Presidential Circle member. I requested a full size car. I arrived to a man who had a horrible attitude who appeared to be in the middle of a personal discussion while I waited for his attention. After talking a unreasonable amount of time talking with a guest waiting his then he said he had 1 car and that's the car I was getting. I asked for another he said that was all they had. The car was a dirty and smelled bad. It was close to closing and I went out to look a second time. I came back in and the man was no place to be found but a far more professional young woman was now sitting there. She offered a Nissan Sentara. It was to small for the trip but she was kind enough and professional enough to offer. That first man needs customer service training desperately! I will never go to that location again. I called a near by location who stayed past the 6pm closing time and treated me like a valued customer. Horrible service Horrible experience!!!

Recent events, especially in how Hertz employees had handled Puerto Ricans, trying to rent a car, I had felt a bit weary about renting from this company. However, this experience couldn't have gone smoother. The employees were knowledgeable and friendly. They walked me through the process, and in a few minutes, I had my car. Returning the car was equally seamless, and the same 2 employees were there, remembered me, and were just as friendly.

They make up a bunch of rules that were never made clear to begin with. I spend over 100 dollars on an Uber to not be able to pick up the car. Something they could have clearly stated over the phone instead of wasting my time and money. I’m so upset with this company it’s not even funny. Don’t go to this location they don’t want to help you or provide customer service. Zero stars.

The availability of cars is always a suspense here . And now the availability of the rep is also a suspense.Had booked a full size car and agreed to pay the change . They don't have carSo took a midsize with 70000 miles with skidding tires . And then she offers me to come to Firestone to check that issueAlready wasted enough time for pick upIt takes about 30-40 mins to rent a car . And then dropping the car also is as tediousThe customer reps are helpful and positive though. Just the wait and cars are little troubleMay be hire more people . More cars . And make it work like a normal rental experience

We needed a rental for vacation. Jelyn and Maliic absolutely took care of it. They really hooked me up and put me in a 2022 hybrid mini van which was great for the family vacation road-trip. Exceptional customer service. They were quick and great pricing. 10/10 would highly recommend.
