I’m extremely disappointed with the seabass I purchased (seabass which is $80/lb) The fish had a strong, unpleasant odor right out of the package, which made me question its freshness — but I gave it a chance and cooked it anyway, hoping it was just my imagination. Unfortunately, it tasted just as bad as it smelled. It was truly inedible and could easily make someone sick.
Fresh fish should never smell like that. This was clearly spoiled and should not have been sold. I strongly urge the supplier or store to check their seafood handling and storage procedures — this is a serious food safety issue.

It’s my local Mariano’s.
Each employee I’ve interacted with during past few years was always friendly and polite.
There are also good deals here, especially if you are using their app and have their loyalty card.
I recommend this store.

We go out of the way to go to this Mariano's, yesterday we stopped in to get some chicken salad from the deli. We get home and start to eat it at dinner time. And it’s all giant chunks of unshredded chicken in the container. And I don’t mean small chunks, GIANT clumps and what looked like almost half a chicken breast. Couldn’t see it until we got home and was just so disappointed. For the prices they charge you would think they could at least shred the chicken properly. What a shame.

Always getting fresh juices and cheese from here. Also the wine selection with olive bar is superb. We always enjoy starbucks coffee while grocery shopping here for fresh fruits and veggies. Their florists are awesome, always very kind and recommending. I love buying flowers from there.
