If I could sue this place I would. I recently created a google account just so I can write a review. On November 6, 2024 I booked a nail appt so my nails can look nice for a trip. The owner, Jessica did my nails but this was the second time I got my nails done from her and she acts like she is too good to even do your nails or would ask me to come back later it was very rude. And then I was convinced to get a pedicure, even though I requested for Jessica, she didn’t want to do them saying she has a medical condition and told Victor to do it. But at the same time while I was getting a pedicure, she decided to give herself one while she was watching tv and eating her snack which was totally unprofessional.
I got my pedicure by Victor, who was nice but he permanently messed up my toenails. He filed my toenails too hard to the point my skin was peeling and it hurt so bad but I honestly didn’t even want to complain because I have been in customer service and I was thinking I don’t want to get him in trouble. I even tipped both of them well. My flight was literally the next day but on my trip my toenails were hurting so bad; I thought the pain would go away but it progressed to the point that after 3 months it felt like my nail was growing backwards (it hadn’t grown at all). I went through horrible pain where I could barely walk for momths, to the point I had to ultimately remove my toenail. I called the salon multiple times and explained what happened, and emailed this salon 3 times sending them an itemized bill from my podiatrist. In the past year, I have spent over $700 to undo the damaged they caused and instead of taking accountability or at the very least apologize for their actions they decided to block my number and never responded to any of my emails. I told them I’d sue them but I spoke to several lawyers who told me it would be more expensive to take them to court and not worth it. I hope I can spare anyone reading this the pain, suffering, and financial damages that I have gone through from perfectly healthy nails to the point I can never wear opened toed shoes. The people running this place are unprofessional, lack integrity, and are just indespicable human beings. All of this and they couldn’t even refund me what I spent, they didn’t offer to pay any of the necessary medical procedures I had to get, but they couldn’t even at the very least apologize or take accountability. Pathetic. My nails after almost a year are now growing back black, have holes in them and are not even the same shape as they used to be. I feel like crying every time I look at them, this salon is just so horrible I wish I never went here.

They were incredibly accommodating for a group of 4 of us getting our nails done for my friend’s wedding. Two of us got no-chip manicured and two of us got pedicures and were seen promptly for our appointment time. They were so friendly and listened to our needs, and made the experience very relaxing and enjoyable. They even let us stay a little longer while one’s pedicure was drying to chat longer while they cleaned up as we were past the closing time. Highly recommend Xanadu Nails & Spa!!

Reasonable price, very clean professional. Great service ! Yes you may need an appointment but that is because they do that they are busy. If you come by appointment they can make sure that you have an excellent experience. I read the other reviews and find them very petty. I have been here with my friend several times and she and I drove from Palatine for there exceptional service. It has new owners since I believe the beginning of the year and it has only gotten better. Make an appointment and judge for yourself. They are awesome! (No I don't work here just glad to support a small local business.) Love you folks always a treat!
Cleanliness: Aways clean. They put a fresh plastic bag in the tub before you start so you never touch where other people have been.
Stylist: Ok have had a new one lately but I have also had Victor. They are all very caring and professional.

Visited this salon for a pedicure. Unfortunately, the gentleman who did my pedicure did not appear to be well trained in this service. The service was painful and left my cuticles bleeding and stinging for a couple days afterwards. I mentioned to him that I was in pain during the service, but the gentleman appeared to either not understand English very well or to not care. Polish was applied unevenly and overlapped onto skin at places. Feet were not adequately exfoliated and the gentleman left rough patches that could have easily been addressed with a few more seconds of scrubbing. My friend has been to this salon with good experiences, all with female technicians. I would not recommend receiving services from the gentleman.

Polish was thick and came off nails before I got home. Pedicure was ok. Wouldn't go back there.

My goodness…this was an experience! So happy that me and My Husband drop in! Customer service was Baran. They were so happy and friendly. We may experience such a joy to be there. And a bonus heated lotion massage was on point.
Cleanliness: The team members are sanitizing everything.

I've been going to Xanadu for 10 years now and Jessica, Rose, and Victor are all wonderful!! Jessica is very talented in nail design and nail art! She takes time to get the details just right and makes sure you are pleased with the result! Victor usually does my awesome pedicures and I feel so rejuvenated. They also have the BEST customer service, even understanding when I was sick last minute and helping me reschedule.
I drive from Chicago to Xanadu every 3 weeks because they are WORTH IT!

More recently moved to this area. Rec'd a mailer. Found out this place is only 5 minutes away. Made an appt. w/Jessica for a pedicure after reading the reviews. As I arrived, a woman walked in just in front of me. Jessica started talking to her about doing her nails. She looks over at me and realizes I had the appt. She said will "anybody" be okay for giving me the pedicure. I said no as I made the appt. w/her. She turns on the water for the pedicure and next thing I know she's doing the woman's nails and has this man give me the pedicure. As he's doing the pedicure, they both keep an eye on the door and the time. Clearly the pedicure is to be completed in 30 minutes or less. One of my toes hurt after the quick use of the pumice sponge and the polish on my big toe had a small glob. If you want a quick pedicure in 30 minutes or less with little regard for your feelings, this is the place. I will be looking elsewhere!

My Girlfriend went in to this place to get her prom nails done, because the previous place had cancelled on her due to "overbooking". "Jessica" did her nails. when her nails were finished, the shape of each nail was drastically different and the color was dull and practically matches the color of a bathroom sink. the end product is NOT worth the $75 dollars and it is not what she wanted. We would not recommend this place to anybody.
