Manager here is great always on the floor saying hi to everyone motivating his staff. I need to recognize Christa F. cashier , and Brooke who was bagging. What a great team they were working together, and Krista was so friendly and just a nice, respectful young woman. I was talking to the customer in front of me. We were commenting on her Christmas vacation shirt and her reindeer ears she was wearing and she looked so festive and happy doing her job. It’s nice to see such kind happy sales people when you are checking out they really made an impression on me.

This manager of this store is one of the best I’ve ever seen. Talk about motivation. He’s amazing. I drive from a the jewel on 79th and Cicero which it two minutes from my house to go to the store in Lockport. Why? It is so well run. Jewel at 79th Cicero is a dump! Hire some employees.

This Jewel is a joke! They have the rudest workers. Customer service sucks here too! They have a sign above their fresh soup area with prices for each size - but when you ring it up it’s .50 to a dollar higher than advertised depending on the size of container you are getting. We have told 5 people about this over 5 different visits in the last couple of months. Cashiers, managers, customer service and the response is oh yeah we will fix that. Or you get “Maybe they changed the price and a shoulder shrug. That is false advertising and I am guessing most people don’t notice or just get sick of telling them. By some of the responses we have got -most seem to already know about it. How many other things areMarked like this in that store! I’m done!

I have to admit that this is my Jewel of preference. That being said, I don't understand why this particular location no longer sells the Rosen Cocktail Rye. They used to have them in front of the deli meat counter, but no longer carry them. When I asked if they had any, I was told that they were discontinued. What's confusing is that Rosen never discontinued the bread and other Jewel stores continue to carry it and have it in stock continuously. It's just so frustrating to find a store that you like, but are were forced to go elsewhere because this particular location doesn't have what the other location do.

The curly haired liquor section manager is a real jerk. No need to be rude to people who come in asking about bourbon. He's been rude multiple times and makes you feel like you're not worth his time.

Staff helped me find deli cups for 20 minutes due to them being in the incorrect aisle. I’ll never forget that. Very kind of them. The pharmacy staff are awesome too! :)

I stop at this Jewel a few times a week and I really like it . One of the nicest employees there is Maggie who usually works up front by the self check out. Maggie is always there to help me and she's always friendly and looking to help. Thank you Maggie you are an asset to Jewel and the entire community.☆☆☆☆☆

My friend just shared her horrific experience with the manager at this location. I said I also had a bad experience about a month ago. I was going to let it go, but after the way my dear friend was treated, I felt it was necessary to share.About a month ago I had returned expired juice I just bought. Literally about 2 hours after buying it. The young woman at the desk said well if you don't have your receipt, I can't refund you. I said I can tell you that this woman checked me out- you can look up my credit card transaction. She said but how do I know you bought it today? I said I just told you that this woman checked me out. Why would I lie about something like this and come all the way back to return a juice. I have better things to do with my time. She gave me such a hard time. Maybe have employees check the expiration dates. That's not my job to check that. I told her I won't be back and truthfully do 90% of my shopping at Mejer now because of the way I was treated. Customer service has gone to SH&*** No one has simple manners anymore. I am sorry so many people are having such awful experiences at this location.

Very negative experience. A friend just shared her experience at this store with director Craig. I am disgusted that a man would treat a woman in such a manner. I will absolutely be boycotting this location moving forward. Craig needs some intense training on how to treat customers and women. Failure to meet the bare minimum customer service skills. I will be sharing her experience as well. This is revolting. I hope this man is addressed and reprimanded the way he should be. A customer should never be treated like this.

Craig F. (Store Director) should really have more respect for women. I will be going in there and asking to speak to him. This is disgusting to treat a woman/customer in such a manner!I too have had awful experiences at this location!

I usually don’t leave reviews but I felt that Agnieszka and Lauren both deserved some recognition. I feel the world has become so hostile and unfriendly post pandemic that it actually caught me off guard to have come across such friendly employees at my local grocery store. It truly reminded me of the old days when strangers still did small talk and weren’t glued to their cellphones. These two ladies have always been so kind and approachable, what was a quick grocery run now sometimes feels like a therapy session! These ladies have gotten to know my life story after scanning my groceries over the last year or so and it’s just so heart warming so see them always checking in on me. They are outstanding and I go out of my way to come to this Jewel to shop and chat! :-)

Make sure you double check your expiration dates here. There is seemingly zero quality control. Last week it was some bacon that expired in early May and today it was some hot dogs that expired a couple weeks ago. Luckily I caught it while I was still in the store so I was able to swap it for some fresher product. There's probably much much more than that given it was back to back weeks of running into something spoiled. I may start avoiding shopping here when I'm in the area and just go to 131st and LaGrange instead.

There are deals to be (boneless skinless chicken breasts-1.99 a pound) had but other items like half and half half gallon are up 2 dollars from a year ago. They are still great for selection, customer service, cleanliness and they did repave their parking lot which was a mess.

I waited at the meat department for 35 minutes. I had every person page them and they still didn't show up. I rang the bell and everything. Multiple people paged them.
